hey man, I think many of us were using this lovely game as an escape but as you said it wasn't totally in vain. maybe I am looking at this through nostalgia glasses, but I think demobase/sof2 community was just the place for some of us - it was small enough for almost everyone to know each other much like a small village, but big enough for us to run around and form our own little clans(dare I say families?) and I'd say it was better than the alternative.
with that being said, sorry for having been such a cunt to many of you throughout all this

I also had a dark period where it was; fuck everything except this game, but life always finds a way..

This game was really something special for a lot of us, and no one can take that away from us
