Never underestimate the worth of a backup. It's not nice when you lose something invaluable like family photos when something catastrophic happens to your pc.

Aah, how nice it is to have a Samsung laptop --> it comes with a standard back-up program

I always delete the programs (bloatware) that are bundled with laptops and suddenly the laptop becomes responsive and usable.

As far as I know the higher temperature on a hardware the shorter it's lifetime, although it seems logical I'm not 100% sure of it.

btw. Thank you Jesa for motivating me to clean up my huge mess.

2.4. Defragment. Windows file system fragments even if you just fart once. Especially if you move a lot of files back and forth. This means the files in a single folder can be physically clustered all around your harddrive and thus it's seek times are slower. Windows has it's own defragmenter but it's proven to be lacking. Luckily there are a lot of freeware alternatives that can do the job properly like Defraggler and MyDefrag. Defragmenting improves load times.

You reallyy don't want SSD owners to defragment their flash drives. And yes, some people do own these without their full knowledge (ASUS EEE anyone?). Do add. kthnx

Remember to clean up your PC every once in a while! It had "only" been 6 months since the last time I did that. Luckily the filter had catched 99% of the dust that would have otherwise got inside my PC.

I wish I still had a pic of my CPU cooler from sometime last year.. the dust was like 1cm thick all over it and most other things in my PC.

Wouldn't be surprised if that was why my core2duo overheated super hard all the time (only got like 10fps max on SOF2 playing h&s) and the thermal paste was rock solid Had to get a new CPU because of it :'( But I don't regret it because my i5 is wicked sick.

My Intel i3 is kinda slow lately and had some lag / fps drop in sof tho, Since i clean up my pc inside and outside and changed some grapic card, energy settings it work fine again.

Tryed this settings from a forum it works faster than fast and allot better than the auto settings.
