i don't know how much you watch basketball but fisher already won 4titles starting as a point guard.
Besides he hits big shots like last finals vs magic.

Besides if he was so bad, they wouldn't take him back to LAL would they?
Kobe wanted him back to LA as well.

He doesn't do what a point guard is supposed to do, hence what I mean as he sucks as a PG. He's more of a SG and Kobe runs the Point. Why do you think Kobe wanted him back? Kobe doesn't want a PG that holds the ball and tries to set up plays because he wants to do it for himself. What kind of PG averages 2 assist a game? Like I said, he's an offensive player and I give him credit for that.

Btw just because he has 4 rings doesn't mean he earned them. Just look at Robert Horry, the man has 6 rings and he sucks lol.

I was huge fan of iverson as well but it's just reality, when iverson, raider, rodman play level above
thier opponets teams use these players and accept problems connected with them. WHen they no longer
perform on uber-high level they get kicked out becoz none wants to deal with idiots :S

oops he has 3 rings he wasn't with lakers in 2000 i guess.

Horry was a great 6th man on lakers and spurs. He wasn't as good as tim duncan or w/e but he was a solid player.
I still remeber that dunk over pistons which lead to overtime and spurs winning the game
Or my memory fails and they lost that game :S well anyway horry was a good player imo.
You need guys like horry and fisher on your team.

there's not really a big difference between sg and pg in that system. And it isn't suprising Bryant leads in assist as you see him play, they often play isolation on him whenthe defender doesn't get help he looks to score, if he gets doubled he is very good at giving the ball up. You could see it so many times in this playoffs. He didn't even get much assists over his drives but rather passing quick of the double team.

coz u don't stop guys like steve nash, anyway lakers did better vs nash than spurs. And if you noticed nash scored most of his points over pick and rollls after switch when he had duncan or gasol on him. Besides he's a better player than mowilliams and nelson in all aspects but scoring.

everyone that actually knows basketball & the NBA just shook their heads @ you. Jameer Neslon is one of the premier pointguards in the league, the kind of PG you can build around not one that just hands the ball off to kevin durant or kobe bryant or dwade and let them run the offense. Fuckin fisher isn't good for anything besides a 3 pt shot, but thats not what u need from a PG. Jameer Nelson is by far the better player and pointguard, especially now that fisher has old legs

and defqon ur an idiot rondo is too quick, agile for fisher to cover even when he was in his prime. I'm sure ron artest is gunna shut down whoever he covers, expect a lot of assists and few points from pierce this series if that's who artest plays

Just because Horry has one good game, doesn't make him an essential part of the team. Especially not if you're averaging 8 points in the playoffs.

And you're saying Fisher doesn't pass just because of the way the lakers play? Then what about the 2 years he spent in Golden State and the year he spent in Utah? He was still averaging like 3 assist per game. He's just there for the 3pt, nothing more and nothing less.

yeah my sof2 knowledge & nba knowledge are both impeccable. starbury is old as fuck now of couse nobody wants to have him as their point guard, but while he was in his prime on the nets was a valuable scoring point guard, he averaged 9 assists and 24 points now hes washed up similar to AI. You probably don't know this but jameer nelson tore his ACL last year and he has never fully recovered yet, his quickness isn't 100% where it used to be in the 08-09 reg season, and he was a completely different style player than stephon marbury. I agree that there are better point guards in the NBA (cp3, nash, deron, rondo) but your trying to argue that fisher is better which is comical.

if horward, nelson, VC stay together, they'll win a championship within the next four years but thats mostly dependent upon the development of howard

Yea i know he was hurt, but i don't think orl will win championship with that team. In fact I think they were much stronger last year with Turkoglu instead of VC and they would be better of with some true point guard someone like Jason Kidd or Rondo rather than nelson.
And yes besides his offensive game I think Fisher is better pg for a championship contender than nelson. I'd rather have nash, rondo, deron, parker, billups or paul but if I had to choose between nelson and fisher id go for fisher. Good leadership, competitor spirit, does know what it takes to win and can take the difficult shots - nelson doesn't have these qualities imo. Fisher isn't one of the best players for sure, but he's a v.good player who fits great in both LAL dynsaties and sometimes it's better to have someone like him then another "star".

Howard is a great def player, but offensively he's like bad version of shaq. I'd rather have some star guard/small forward to do the bulk of the scoring then guy like howard taking so many shots.

yeah dr funk ur so right, who would want howard as their center he shoots way too much (61% FG percentage, second only to perkins) plus he pulls down 13 boards a game plus 2.8 blocks a game. I'd much rather have durant or wade shoot 38% and carry my team. NOT
