2nd of all, HOW THE FUCK CAN U BAN PLAYER WHO TOOK SOME NO NAME NICK - WOUTINHO WTF ITS SOME RANDOM TDM NEWB JESUS - COZ LEADER OF CLAN FOR WHO HE PLAYED TOLD HIM TO DO THAT?

he says its just a game to camham, meaning cam cares to much. yet wout cares enough himself about cam fakin him in a while asked by wout his clanmembers.

your vision is short if those are your only explanations for saying 'its just a game' + it only takes 10sec to make a bust topic. maybe wout just doesnt like camham and saw his chance in busting him here, or he just likes to see other peoples misery..
what makes you come the conclusion he said that because camham cares to much?

Did Camham play the war or not??
If he wasn't, he was planning too but didn't play the match.
The rules here are so simply made that it brings only more confusion and frustration.
Let's take a look:

FAKING*

Faking(IPss needed)
1st bust - 3months ban from all demobase supported cups
2nd bust - 6months ban from all demobase supported cups
Busted for the 3rd time = life time ban from all demobase cups
Faking in cupmatch, lifetime ban from ALL demobase supported cups

*It's only faking if the person being faked makes a complaint or if it's during a cupmatch.

It is so unclear written that I am wondering myself now what faking on Demobase is.
Let's take a look on Clanbase for example:

Freelancing (playing for 2 different clans at the same time or as 2 different players, even when having both accounts linked), is not allowed. All matches where the freelancer has played will be turned into a forfeit loss. The freelancer will be banned from the cup and will receive a temporary 3 months ban from ClanBase. In case of a returned freelancer, he will receive a further ban. In case a freelancer has 2 different unlinked accounts, his newest active account will be deleted and the other one banned. This may also lead to the exclusion of the clans involved from the cup.

What a difference in explanation lol, no offense but the admins here are just lazy to define the rules to the last detail.
Do you guys think that if I have the same nickname on SoF Gold with someone else I get banned on Clanbase?
They don't care shit lol, as long I don't do it on matches.

What is faking here in Demobase then? If I got myself named on MSN 'Renegade *HtF*' , I am faking him too then according to the theory you guys all use in this topic.
If Camham didn't play the war (I'm still confused, the next one here post whether he really played or was just in the server with another nickname), then he didn't freelance for ros. and so he can not be a faker. Just because his name is different, he still has his original GUID.

Now you wonder: Then you should let him play the war first and then post it on Demobase to get him busted?

Well, that's even more lame but that's more logical according to the rules. He risked then to play the war and permitted the playing under Woutinho's name.
Imagine Woutinho comes in a server and types in console: '/exec camham'

ros. Woutinho renamed to c4. Camham

If I press now EXACTLY on my bind to show the fp_checklist, I got Woutinho busted according to the system based on this ban. Hahaha what a joke guys seriously.......
This has gone way too far.
If someone wants to play for another clan, it's his own risk.
But because he has another nickname doesn't mean he actually fakes Woutinho, his intention was there, but it's never a proof he faked Woutinho since the war didn't start as I heard (in the case Camham didn't play the war, once again I'm still not sure yet since everybody says something else to me...).

It could be that Xillax or Doctorfunk (or whoever wrote the rules) meant that playing under another nickname is enough to be called a faker. But since the rules are so unclear written to me I have no clue, so I guess I'll have to wait for an admin to response here...

Tbh faking is faking, whether it's in public or not. However you can't of course ban someone for having someone's name for like 5 mins but I mean.. if you use someone's CFG how hard is it to open console and /set name XXXXXXXXXX ? Takes less than a minute.

But I can see why you're confused, perhaps it's time to further clarify this rule?

Indeed but you're talking about a war, I'm talking about public.. and a time limit to switch back to your OWN name, not another random name

And regarding the punishment, I can see why they did it as faking tends to fuck up wars / cups.
