Not that I cheer for them, but seems they have all the pieces again.
I hope Celtics could make a trip to the finals and maybe win it,
but they didn't get much better this offseason, J.O'neal is a good pick
but they don't have decent back up for Allen. My guess is that if
situation with nate won't work out they will trade him for defensive
minded sg, someone like Bell or Hassel, guy who can shot unlike Tony Allen.
With Nate out they would prolly sign some veteran pg for the minimum.
my guess
Heat or Celtics from the east; Lakers beat Jazz/Thunder and go out east
Finals Lakers beat the east

few seasons now. But it's gonna be kinda equal fight in the west now, jazz, mavs and maybe even spurs if
tp stays healthy rj starts to fit in and splitter comes up big. Oh and rockets forgot to add them in the pool.

OT: Lakers are imo heavy favorites. They got one of the best in history (kobe) and two 7 footers. Two elite defenders in Barnes and Artest. Clutch player in fisher and a good addition of steve blake. And Ratliff top 10 blocker altough old. Lakers have much more role players than the heat and so lakers will win

There's no question who the favorite next year, nobody give a fuck what your opinion is. Go ask Vegas, they're sayin somethin like 3:1 heat

theo will have 0 impact. Sorry homie kobe's on the decline while wade & lebron & bosh are all in their prime.

They have 3 top10 players
Lakers have 2top 10 players (yes, I mean Gasol)
but difference is in the support cast; Bynum, Artest, Barnes, Odom, Fisher...
addition of Barnes makes a lot of sense since he is a great defender
Theo can have a impact simply by challenging/shots blocking/foul
when wade/lebron try to finish at the rim.
Miami is one of the favourites no doubt, but it's not a team with a lot of depth
so imo it won't be a cake walk even if they happen to win it, which ofc they can,
but I doubt they will.
Rockets ofc.
If Yao will have a great season, then who knows. Imo they have awesome team now.

jumping the bandwagon already? as doc has said many times, heat has no role players , supporting class etc.. and they wont win. two 7 footers. just not gonna beat that without big defenders. and maybe Kobe is on a decline but thats not gonna happen in 1 year. He will be still top player as wade lebron and bosh will have their scoring spread out.
I think what will happen is that maybe heat will rely on wade doing 1on1 defending and kobe will make his usual shots. Only thing that will hurt kobes offense is playing defense but with barnes as an addition i think they can have kobe on the bench for a bit.

isnt this topic about opinions? why would i even give a fuck about ur opinoin since u live in boston so u will like boston and boston only and u seem like u just jump the bandwagon.
edit: and why would i care what vegas says when many sports analysists say that lakers are the favorites to win.
Lebron one of the most hated right now and if he doesn't win this year hes gonna be number 1 most hated NBA player i think

what is this bandwagon shit ur talking about? I've been a diehard celtics fan since BEFORE antoine walker when we had walter McCarty and nobody. I'm talking like eight years before you ever baked a cake and wrote "3v Pwnz" on it. I still want the celtics to win, i still think we have a damn good chance of winning, but i'm realistic enough to see that when you assemble the best two guards and the best bigman (besides howard) in the league ALL ON ONE TEAM then they're fucking favorites.
And defqon, jesus fuck quit getting ur information from doctor funk. The kid lives in poland you truly trust his information, he says that the heat have no supporting cast and you believe it. They signed Carlos arroyo & mario chalmers, two point guards that will help the team more than the 14 yr veteran fisher. Oh plus mike miller, juwan howard, joel anthony (who can block shots better than theo these days) and their 7 footer Z.
you keep talking about the importance of the lakers two seven footers and how well they'll be able to defend the heat, but that only takes bosh out of the equation. You still have two superstars on the court who are able to explode for 50+ on any given night, and artest can only take one, don't even kid urself by saying that kobe can cover lebron even when he was in his prime

you do know basketball is 5 s 5 right? and not 3 vs 1, look previous post about SUPPORTING CAST
Yeah ofc, but when I see that the lakers aren't a really good TEAM, and the Miami Heat have more ability to play as a TEAM with their class of players, I know they will win it. And believe me, Kobe sees this Big 3 shit as a battle between HIM and the Big 3; that's why the 3 vs 1 and not the 5 vs 5.. x

Bynum + Gasol = Bynum just got surgery after finals, he'll be fresh. Gasol is at his prime, and has grown a lot as a player and his body.
Fisher + Kobe = Clutch players, experienced in finals/play-offs.
Odom + Brown + Vujacic = All of these guys are game changers, role players.
At this point I still think the big 3 is to young and unexperienced to go that far. Look at team U.S.A losing to Greece in the FIBA.. with Wade, Lebron, Bosh and other stars.
Note: I really think it is to early to tell since their is still lots of time to make trades, and you can never predict for sure. Boston, everyone was thinking they are getting old, blabla, but they made it to the NBA finals.
Yeah ofc, but when I see that the lakers aren't a really good TEAM, and the Miami Heat have more ability to play as a TEAM with their class of players
Man you are retarded... You think the big 3 all of a sudden doesn't care about scoring points anymore? They'll all be thinking about scoring and will never be able to play as a team. They are all young and stupid and that's why they fucking joined each other. Team USA lost to Greece cause they all wanted to score and couldn't play as a team.
