get rid of dust+raven imo.

as for maps, i think 1 map for groups is enough, but for semifinals, finals, etc perhaps 2 maps(need 2 to win, if its 1-1, play 3rd map)
1 team can either pick 1 map and 3rd map would be picked/predefined by cup admins/supervisors/w.e, or use another way: every clan leaders keep voting 1 map out till there are 2(3) left in the maplist and those last 2 will be played,
i.e clan1 votes dust1 out(according ot current maplist), clan2 votes raven out, clan1 votes kam3 out, clan2 votes shop69 out and so there's left shop2&jor1 and those will be played.

yea but then bestof3 should be then made with set dates;
example match1 monday21gmt+1 match2 thursday21gmt+1 sunday21gmt+1
otherwise 3weeks to play 1round is not the way to go, neither is 3h match.

or maybe lowered score limit

Why do you all bother saying what I should and not do? My cup, my rules. And I can't do good for anyone so let's just try to make the best of it instead of whining before the cup starts

And junior: The NC cup and facing worlds was last year also at the same time and nobody whined about it except for you so I don't see any probs

I do take criticism but criticism is something else than whining. Last year alot of people said my cup would die, it would be boring etc and when it was started all the flame went away, same thing will hapen now, I'm sure. And a pure goldmaps cup isn't the ideal solution since alot of people didn't play a single war @ maps so a mix between shop/gold maps could work just fine.

no it's the same and while they are tons of cups on mp_shop there have't been an actual good 5on5 maps cup and people who don't like maps won't install them just becoz they can play 1half at shop. Plus if you do something innovative like INF ARC on gold maps why waste precious time on shop
map with hardly any benefit coming from it?

Clans like HaZe (and i'm sure there will be more) won't signup if its a 100% goldmaps and going from 100% mp_shop to 100% goldmaps is a bit harsh imo so again a mix between those will do just fine. Maybe FW III will be held completly on goldmaps but this one won't.

ehh, insane. dust and raven are bugged and there's also a reason they arent/weren't ever played on gold.

not that ive played gold but im making simple assumption from gold movies - i rarely see raven played.


ps, haze wont sign up even if they have to play one goldmap for ONE time and shop for the rest of the times. not even if they have to play kniferound in shop69 to pick sides in shop.

Yeah i know, but I'm willing to take the risk. I got 11 clans that will participate for sure(nt andi with your 6 clans max ) and when the actual signups start I hope to get 16 again, like last year. But it won't be a drama if we have less signups then I'm going to work something out.
Alot of people are looking forward to play a 5v5 cup on maps and I'm not going to take the maps away for clans that think goldmaps is for gold only

tbh I wish it was just a mp_shop cup too anyway. I don't know shit about maps, cuz I don't care about other maps , it's just another game I'm playing then.
because when I ever played gold I thought , zzz boring maps, shop is better.

but still, if this cup will go on, we should listen better to insane, because if like 3 people whine, there will be many more who will whine and it will be until the end.
