I'd say the group phase is sort of a warm-up anyway lol.
Ideally having 10 teams would be better yea but going straight into semis is kinda gay still i think.

And you still have something to fight for, the one who gets most points in the group phase gets an easier way to finals really.

you want to fuck up 4 group stage matches so you can play 1 extra match after elimination..where is the challenge and fun in that
you still get to fight for points with the normal system. dont know why you even brought that up lol

anyway this is about giving the ''lesser'' teams 1 extra game to play (80% in this case lol) but you will hurt the competetive side of a cup

but atleast a bit longer than 2 per group that advance straight into semi's

i don't know maybe you should treat group phase as a challenge after last cup

But on serious side; it's quite obvious competitive side will start in semis(either way it's pretty much same
people in all cups in semis), rest is a w-up in every cup so why not make it fun for more players/teams?
I have another thought stop stacking up your team with best players on sof2 it would make it
more competitive to win games for your team.
