Its alot of money but its understandable, they just try to set an example with this. Stuff like this will happen more and more in the future. I dont feel sorry for this woman. Making alot of money on someone else his succes by just hosting some server. She could have seen it comming.

The same as before, a wife put her cat in the microwave and the cat died, then she went to the judges and made a complaint to the microwave company, she said it wasn't in the subscription that u can't put a cat in the microwave. She did even won some mills. HOW RETARTED ARE THOSE PPL IN USA LOL

whats wrong is that every user playing the game and for the length that they played is considered money lost and that they assume that EVERY single one of these players would have bought the game and payed monthly. if I were to play WOW I would only do it on a private server I would never pay for the game

industry make all the time counting their losses but it's very far from truth.

Puly it's still infringement and shit.. just because Blizzard is already a million/billion company w/e doesn't mean it's legal to do this stuff.

Here's how it worked: people donated for crap so she got ze $$$$.. she assigned GMs to give the people their stuff after all ze $$$ business was done.
However she didn't invest all that money into the server. If you've ever played a WoW private server you'd know that there are a massive amount of bugs which need to be fixed if you actually want to play the game the way it's supposed to be played.. lot's of skills didn't work the way they should, same goes for items with a use function, talents etc etc. Also I recall each server had a capacity of 6000 players but as soon as there were over 5000 playing, the entire server started lagging and they never ever did anything about it. Instead of investing the donation money they just said smth like, hey deal with it, you know at night the server gets busy so either you choose to play with lag or you don't play at night.

Note: lot's of bugs made it impossible for people to get certain loot so to say and of course they didn't feel like fixing it so why not add those unobtainable items to the donation list? At least that's what they did.

No its not fair but life aint fair. She will probably just loose all her money and belongings and start over again without depts. And that sounds fair to me, i dont think blizzard will be screaming afterwards: OMG SHE HAD TO PAY 88 MIL BUT SHE ONLY PAYED 4 MIL THAT AINT FAIR!@!@ If she was allready rich and earned 85m on a fair way beside this scam then you could have said it is unfair.

Whether the case is just or not is pretty much not discussable, she did break the law after all.
