Hello, i have an idea for the next DBC.

First i need to check if people would want it.

Well, it would be organised by me + others.
No admins would take part in it


The Concept?
Well, this cup would have a CASH PRIZE which would be made by €10-€20 payments to enter the cup, and either 16 or 24 teams would be the size, and the payment format is like this: #1 gets 50%, #2 get 30% and #3 gets 20% - so if its a 24 clan tournament with €20 each, the winner would receive €240 (12x what they paid to enter!!), the 2nd clan would get €144 (almost 7x what they paid) and the 3rd place would be €96 (almost 5x what they paid) !!!

But, you might think its a bit of a risk, since inthe playoff's you can have 1 bad game and your out, well no, your wrong! This would be a double elimination style cup.

Format being top 3 from each group would go through(out of 4 for a 16 clan, and out of 6 for 24 clan), top 2 into the upper bracket and 3rd place into the lower bracket.

How would the money be safe/sent?
Paypal, you would donate the money to a DEMOBASE account (ie, has no credit/debit card details on it - so it's impossible for admins to transfer the money out). This way paypal won't take a commission(i think) from the paid money, and then i wont have to add my own money to it.

And if any registered player or admin wanted to check up on the paypal, i would do a remote access to my pc, then i would already be logged onto the paypal account and let them see no card details + all the moneys still there.


Anti Cheat?
We would NOT use fairplay, we are going to develop our own anticheat for this tournament, which shall take multiple screenshots during the wars, then each screenshot shall be sent into a .demobase(extension) file with a totally random crazy password only the admins know, and STRAIGHT after the match you MUST upload it to a FTP place i would set up, where it would then be downloaded by the admins and checked for any incriminating screenshots + ofcourse the anti cheat would still have all the other protections as other anticheats (ie stop cheat loaders, opengl32.dll's, opengl32.dll system32 checker, d3d checker etc).

Any clan with a player caught cheating will be immediatly kicked out of the tournament with no refund & forfeit win for the opposition team the player was caught cheating against.


Sponsors?
Of course we will be searching for sponsors as soon as we see that the clans actually want to participate. If we do find cash sponsors(not very likely tbfh), then the cash pot will increase & so shall the awards. If we get a hardware sponsor, we shall split the hardware in the exact same way as the cash, and if we get a server sponsor, we'll just see what they wish to offer.

Like i've said in the past, i wouldnt spend a single pen to an online game..
But its a good idea for the ones who are interested

I think it's an amazing concept xillax, just depends on the people if they're willing to contribute a bit of money to make things interesting.

You only have one problem. Only clans that think they can win will participate cause they win like 90% sure some more money other clans have 90& change of losing money

I think you should keep it non-money.
Sponsers who are willing to give a server as reward, thats more interesting though..
