I remember people tried several times to get the active clans in demo to move to gold. It was all a big failure. It's the same as the annual "lets make a ladder" idea which never catches on. Why? Because people like it the way it is. They do not want change.

Yes rad, and yet most of us don't live in caves and hunt animals for living. I'd bet many people after a while playing demo on full would maybe like it more. Start is always hardest, because easiest thing is to do nothing.

I think Xillax summed it up. Every player will choose for themselves if they want to move or not, let the rest stay if they want. Nobody can be forced.

I understand why you say that foxdie. I view it differently however. Most things can be adjusted to demo settings easily; dmg,speed,1st only, 5on5, nades etc. Small differences are insginificant in long run, really wouldn't matter much if you have 3s nades or 5s nades. After a while nobody would notice even if it would seem controversial at first. It's better to go there and play rather than talk about playing it and specifying details that can be easily decided later on. After we actually played and see exactly how much of a big deal it is.

it's also a matter of getting used to, but yes to me demo movement is better, but full movement is good too it has it good sides, for example lean is better balanced.

My main concern is not the movement, it's the whole full community in general, I've seen nothing but shit, people getting banned because they owned some guys in a scrim, the lame ass camping 3RD gameplay who none of us enjoy at all, will the full players adapt to firstperson gameplay? NO.

Will the average demo player play vs 3RD laming faggots? NO.
Camping behind a box with thirdperson doesn't require any skill at all and if you actually want to move our community to full, it would mean the demo clans would still war democlans, cuz like 90% of the full clans play thirdperson or what?


There's way too much conflict here. I like playing full once in a while but I still enjoy playing demo more.

if the 1sters on full wanted demo gameplay they would already be playing on demo (yes there are some but not many)

The ones who think it won't work, it's only because community doesn't support it. If the Demobase staff will move there and support the idea 100%, it'll work.
Ladders didn't work because DemoBase wasn't behind it. Someone just created it and that was all. They kept it here for a while, but there was no actual work with it, that's why people became inactive there. You need the main players/clans to move full and it'll work, add some cups and voila. Basically you need to kill demo manually - main clans move to full, no cups, edit forum for full.
