|| Demobase Rights ||
This is a 'Hosted Cup'. It contains an Open Registration. This means every clan who meet the requirements is allowed to join.
This cup is hosted by Demobase. Therefor the rights are reserved by Demobase.
The rules followed in this topic are based on experiences through the years. They are changeble, but only if a majority of Demobase disagree to enhance a rule. The rules for this cup are editted according to the official Demobase rules, but in a good way. However, it could be the majority still disagree on a rule or more. Therefor we will start a topic for discussing.
If a rule followed is not written in the official Demobase rules, a clan or player can still be punished. The rules do apply on the whole cup.
If you see a rule that is written on the wrong way or is not clear to understand, we friendly request you to post this in the topic made for the discussion about the rules.|| Cheating Policy ||
Fairplay is for everybody required. This means that even with the most strange error possible, playing in a cupmatch is not possible (even if the other clan agrees to let you play). However, if the emergency is that high (deadline approaches and no other member is online), admins can make an exclusion. But this happends rarely.
Be sure to settle your Fairplay on time! So you won't meet surprises. Of course an error can always randomly appear, but be sure to fix this as soon as this appears.

For this cup the Cup Ban List (CBL) applies. The overview is here: CUP BAN LIST
If a player his ban is expired during this cup, he is still not allowed to play in this cup.
The cheater rules can be found here: CHEATING RULES|| Before the Match starts ||
Matches must be played at the agreed time, or the default time. If clans can't get their line-up available on the appointed time, a match can be rescheduled only if the other clan agrees.
Clans are allowed up to 15 minutes to get all their players on the match server (i.e. they have until 21.15 GMT+1 if the time is appointed on 21:00 GMT+1)
Matches can only be played in i3d.net servers.
Before the match starts, the competition-mode has to be enabled by the command !cm. This will be done by the referee.
Other settings that should be maintained are:- g_speed 300
- g_roundtimelimit 3
- scorelimit 10
- timelimit 0
- g_friendlyfire 0
Be sure to check if the settings for a match are good. You can notify a referee for this.
A match can only be refereed by a referee or admin appointed by the cup staff. The list of referees for this cup are listed here: REFEREES
A knife round will determine what clan will start on what side. The winner of this knife round can choose first what side to start on.
Clans are allowed once they are fully present 5 minutes to make tactics after the knife round is finished.
The match has officially started once both clans agreed they are ready, so if any clan leaves after it this will be considered as 'leaving'.|| Match Proceeding ||
Everyone must use Fairplay Anticheat. It is the responsibility of both clans to check this and notify each other if there are any problems.
During the match a clan can have up to 7 players in the server.
Each clan can use a maximum of 3 pauses per match.
Both clans must have all players online for the war. If 1 clan is short of players they will receive a forfeit loss, unless the other clan agrees to play in this situation: 4vs5, 3vs5 or 3vs4 (examples). This is possible to the lowest count 1vs5, but the clan with the overhand of players can refuse playing and take the forfeit win. This is allowed during and before the match.
If a clan leaves during the match, the score will be as it was in the match. A clan is allowed to leave anytime during the match, but once a clan left it's not allowed to join back. An example is if clan A wins with 10-2 in Set 1 and the score in Set 2 is 3-0 already. Clan A won and if they want to leave they still win the match.
If a clan leaves during the match with the score in their favor, but the winner is not known yet (if a clan is leading but doesn't have enough rounds to call them the winner), the rounds available will be earned to the clan who stayed in the server making them the winner.
This cup uses scoresystem 'All Rounds Count' (ARC). Both clans must try to hit the teamlimit which is 10 per Set. There are 2 Sets. The clan who earned the most rounds after these 2 Sets wins the match.
After the first Set is finished, either clan may request a break of maximum 5 minutes. If a clan is not ready after the 5 minutes, the opponent can still wait if they are sportive, but is allowed to play on if they like to.
Clans who repeatedly flame, whine or accuse during matches may receive punishments, such as player match bans and forfeit loses. This is something a referee will take care off. Some are strict, some less. Try to respect a referee his decissions. If you really disagree on a decission, you can start after the match a conflict here on Demobase.
Referees are free to chase anyone during a match. Also there can be as many referees as possible in the spectating team, but they have to be on the referee-list.
A clan can only deny a referee in the following situation:1) The referee plays in the same group during the Group phase
2) The referee is suspended on Demobase
3) The referee reached himself the Playoffs phase
4) The referee is on a communication-program with a player playing this match (a proof is needed for this by a sound-record or screenshot)
If a player lags out during a match, he may return to the war providing he still has Fairplay and remembers to record again, a Fairplay-GUID-screenshot is required to prove he still has Fairplay on.
All players are responsible for themselves to play with their registrated nickname in the cup. A referee can always force a player to change his playername.
Substituting players can be done whenever a clan wants in the match. Also it can be done as many times as possible.
A referee will take screenshots of the scores as well of the Fairplay GUID status. Though it is handy to take screenshots yourself too. Referees can make mistakes and therefor it's handy for proofs to keep the screenshots.|| After the Match ||
Mainly the referee does all the evaluation stuff such as making reports and uploading screenshots. But be sure to keep screenshots as back-up, referees can make mistakes too.
Once the match is finished, this doesn't mean the match is confirmed. The cupstaff have to confirm first if it went according to the rules. Once the ranking is updated, the match is officialy confirmed. This doesn't mean a matchresult can't change. If the cupstaff discovers on a later moment rules were broken, a result can still be changed.
If your clan is not satisfied about a result and want to make a conflict, that is allowed. Start a new topic in this cup section and the cupstaff will discuss about it. There is only 1 chance possible to do this; if the conflict didn't go the way you prefered it would be, don't make a new conflict so also not a new topic. In this case you can go to the Demobase Admin Staff and ask them if something can be changed.
Making a conflict because of personal issues is never a reason to listen to. Only start a conflict if you think a match went not according to the rules and if you really think the match result is undeserved. Making conflicts doesn't make your reputation going up for your opponent, so think twice before starting this.
A conflict is possible at any time during the cup, even if a clan reaches the Playoffs phase.
Only a captain from the clan can start a conflict. A topic started from just a member of this clan will be ignored.|| Miscellaneous Rules ||
If a clan dies or leaves during the cup and choses not to continue on, they will lose all their matches by 20-0.
If a match is not played by the deadline, admins can force clans to play on a date and time. It depends on the situation. Before joining this cup, be sure to be as active as possible with your clan.
If a clan is according to the ranking going to the Playoffs phase, but is not enabled to play in this phase, it will get replaced by the clan ranked under this clan in the Group phase.|| Clans and Players ||
Clans are allowed to contain as many players possible in their allowed players before the cup starts. There is no limit for this. The minimum amount of players required for this cup is '5'.
Clans are only allowed to take players to their allowed players if:1) they didn't play any match yet in this cup for another clan
2) they are not on the Cup Ban List (CBL)
3) the clan is still playing in the Group phase (Playoff phase is not allowed)
4) the player is not a brother (a player with the same GUID will be denied)
5) the clan didn't take 3 players yet since the cup started
A player can receive a yellow and a red card. A yellow card is only a warning, a red card is a suspension. Depending on the situation and violation, the suspension can be different from a 1 match-ban to more or another sanction like always-sending-records.
All players need a unique GUID to play in this cup. This means duplications are not allowed. They will be considered as 'fakers'. There is only 1 exception for this, if brothers play on the same computer. This has to be appointed before the cup officialy starts. Once the cup started and you didn't appoint you and your brother play devided in 2 clans, you are not allowed to play for 2 clans, but only for 1 clan.
Every player is responsible for his own actions on Demobase. If a player didn't read an announcement because he is suspended, it is his own fault.
If a player is spotted as faker, the match results this player played in will be turned to forfeit loses for the clan he was playing. Also this player will be banned from the cup.|| Registration ||
Once a player registrated in the appointed topic for this, this player accepts all rules that are written here unless there is complainment in the discussing topic for rules. But in general, the player agrees to these rules.
Every player is allowed to join, as long they are meeting the requirements for a normal gameplay. Players with pings that are influencing the gameplay are not allowed to play.
Once the registration is full and stopped, clans can still register themselves in the so called 'Clan Substitution List'. If a clan dies or leaves in the first matchweek, it can be replaced by the clan according to what clan was first from the Clan Substitution List.
Once the registration is full, the clans will be scheduled into groups.|| Schedule, Ranking and Phases ||
The clans will be scheduled depending on their seed. Every clan is in a specific category of skill. We got 4 categories: 1, 2, 3 and 4 with category 1 seen as the highest clan in skill.
Based on cup experiences and match results, the clans will be scheduled first into these 4 categories. Once this is known, they will get scheduled into the 4 groups A, B, C and D.
If a clan is not satisfied about a category where it's in, you can discuss this in the seed discussing topic.
Once all clans are scheduled, the first matchweek can start.
The ranking system is used as followed:1) The clan with the most points (3 for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss)
2) The clan with the most wins
3) The clan with the less forfeit loses
4) The clan with the most 'Rounds won/Rounds lost-ratio'
5) The clan with the less cards given
6) In cases step 6 will be reached, admins will decide what will happen
There are 2 phases. The 'Group phase' and the 'Playoffs phase'.
In the Group phase, the first 2 clans ranked will proceed to the Playoffs phase.
In the Playoffs phase, no players are accepted anymore to a clan's allowed players.
If a clan did cheat in a Quarter Final in the Playoffs phase and reached already the final, the clan will still be suspended and a match between the losing Quarter Finalist and the losing Semi Finalist determines the new Finalist for this cheating clan.|| External Interacting ||
Logos, videos, banners, broadcasting and all other related work for this cup are owned to the makers. Mainly the admins decide what work will be published. If you feel you can help us with the work mentioned above, try to contact us and we will talk.
All volunteers are welcome, but we have the last word by accepting these. We want you to thank already if you will be enabled to help us during this cup.|| Awards ||
Unfortunately no awards are known yet. We are talking with the cup staff to arrange these. We still hope your clan will join unlike no awards are known yet.
If a clan reaches the top 3 of this cup, they will be in the Hall of Fame for this cup.
If players leave this cup meanwhile they did play a single match for a clan and this clan belongs in the top 3, this player officialy earned this award as well. You are responsible as clan for your signed up players.|| Last Lines ||
Mentioned in this whole page before, the rules can still be changed! We will make a discussing topic for this.
If you see mistakes here, try to post this:1) In the discussing topic for the rules
2) In a private message to the supervisors
If a rule or more will be changed, this will be notified in an announcement posted in this cup section. Be sure to read the 'Updated status' on the top of this page once in a while to see where a rule changed or appeared.
For any questions or support, once again: Visit the discussing topic. This is only an overview of the current rules and this topic is closed for the rest of the cup.
