When my boss walks in, I switch my tab and finish what he asks me to do until I can re-focus my time to something more fun. 10 minutes seems reasonable to finish a task at work, it was a few SQL queries, problem? I'm at school typing out the report that I have to write for the realistic simulation game we've played in which we represented a company and had to set the prices for products, and handle the production in factories (raw materials, parts that need to be in the product etc) in certain markets among the world (EU, US, Japan, Internet etc), which lasted for about 4 weeks. Obviously my 'company' had the highest net income & profit for three weeks straight (the second week until the last day) among all the second year students at my international business school. I was praised by the teacher and fellow students for constantly thinking one step ahead of the competition. This is not related to any of the other bullshit said in this topic, I just felt like braggin'. Reading about your job being related to SQL queries gives me a geeky image of you btw, but I'm not surprised.
