Why would you log on to demobase just to make that announcement? It really shows you do have some issues. I never cared for rpm so im not trying to get rpm back here. I was actually against your rpm and full relations because i knew being dependant to you losers would be demos downfall. Just delete rpm and gtfo. Be a depressed fag somewhere else.

if he takes any pride in his work (which i'm sure he does) he shouldnt sell RPM to some random loser that offers $1000. He's put so many hours in creating the mod, keeping the mod on par with the communitys needs and defending his servercompany from another group of ddosing/hacking losers; why would he sell his "lifework" for such a small amount of cash? Unless the guy that wanted to buy it was jaron or something, I can easily see the guy that offered the money fuck up the reputation max has built over all these years in a matter of weeks lol

 

its pretty safe to say you dont realize how much time max has put into the servercompany/mod and for him stating that he'd rather let it go to waste only confirms that RPM won't be coming back (as people kept discussing about this).

Trust me no one will pay that much for a add on, since max is stubborn? Why dont someone copy max's ideas with rpm mod . i swear if i was a coder ill be making one right now. I guess its about time i do a IT course and learn to code !

lol go for it. I doubt you last through 1 week of a Java course learning about polymorphism let alone learn how to be a computer programmer.

 

anyways, i would have to solidly disagree with you steven. It's not because he has a reputation. Max doesn't really have any reputation here last I remember. Honestly I had no idea who max was until he made a post here in 2011 about porting an RPM mod for demo since full already had one. He actually kills his reputation even more than if he would have sold the damn thing by saying it's not worth it. You're literally taking a dirtbag in the ground and putting it on the highest pedestal demobase has to offer, which is retarded. If he wanted to be respected, he'd allow us to continue playing the game we love using the mod he made which enhances the atmosphere and gameplay.

 

But to each their own, I suppose. I have a much less clouded vision of respect. And honestly, I still do have 2k3_RPM_Server.dll files that I copied over via FTP from a hosted server once, but nobody seems to care that I've mentioned that several times. Nobody offers me money for it either, so I really doubt anyone offered Max a thousand dollars and was serious about it. Seems to me like he's just a dude who hates the guys at 1fx for hacking and tampering with his servers via DDoS, hence he hates all of sof2. He's a blind bigot. Look these words up if you don't know them, since I speak the truth.

 

Notice he made little effort to defend his servers from DDoS attacks. After a while they became unplayable and he just gave up on everyone here. So that makes max a kind of guy who's only trying to maintain his respect? Nah, if he wanted my respect, he would've made at least some effort in RAID protection or contacting others. He'd satisfy his ends with his gains, but he rather gave up than any of that little effort it'd take. he's the least form of wanting the best for anyone and he's very selfish, thus I respect him very little as both a computer programmer and sof2 player. What he did is not that impressive, if you check a topic someone posted about Sof2 Premium, I posted ways to replicate RPM through some simple researching, learning, and trial and error and provided three links to Raven supplements and outside supplements.

 

And before anyone asks why I don't do it. Because I agree with max and I am a disrespected person here also, I don't think the players of SoF2 as it stands right now are worth any effort put into making this game more alive because they're full of kids who have played the game longer than us but continue to just hack or sit in our mumble channels while we war against them or suck completely and then talk mad shit because they lack any respect. Maybe if old schoolers come out of hiding I'd think it's worth it, but it'll never happen. Maybe in 6 more years when Mahi and the rest of Sof2 are becoming 18 years old and more mature.

Nice post, only the last part.. 'if oldschoolers come out' they come out every week but leave again after a couple off weeks, maybe they wil stay longer if someone putted some effort in it. maybe maybe maybe. If you can do it as easly as you say, just do it.

I don't think it took max that long to create rpm tbh, I remember some of us challenging him to do something similar on demo as he did in full and he released the mod within a week. Obviously he had code written from full already. Don't want to put estimates on this but I doubt it took over a week to write lol.

 

Thing is tho, none of us are able to code. ;-D

Lol don't flatter yourself. If I wanted the respect of the majority retarded public that is Demobase, I would have stayed a moderator/admin and continued hosting and organizing cups. Or I would have continued my web project of a web site using PHP, affiliated with Demobase, in which users could create teams/clans and get wars. The reason I left those positions was due to the lack of respect and the general stupidity of people who play the game except for a select few whom I still play games with frequently on Mumble and who don't really play much SoF2 anymore. So no, I don't want the respect of a bunch of disrespectful kids from Europe who's general consensus of Americans is that we're stereotypical, but then they somehow take it personally when I joke around about the stereotypical European.

 

Give me a break. I have plenty of things to do as well, I work full-time doing software and web development, go to school full-time, and play games in my free time. I pay rent and food and tuition on my own because I work for it, not because I get some easy to get welfare from my government since our government only gives welfare to people who actually need it.

 

So, ask someone else, I'm just the realist who gave up on you guys years ago. Max gave up after realizing the full retards would not stop until he made a little effort in improving his server security, and even after that they probably wouldn't stop either. The fact of the matter is that this place is brooding with people who add toxicity without any insight into their own actions. Maybe I'm a hypocrite for adding to it, but I never started out this way. I started out wanting to make sof2 better and integrating newer statistics and other means into cups and wars. Max did the same with RPM. But the community proved to both of us that it isn't worth it.

No, I don't, Acer. Not from you or anyone who regularly posts here, I respect those that I game with because they're genuinely cool people and that's how it should be.

 

EDIT: And your thought that the oldschoolers come back once a week is incorrect. I haven't seen C4 play a war for about 11-12 months, I haven't seen HaZe play a war for about the same amount of time, and I haven't seen anyone bother to try to make a clan and instead, everyone tries to join vL. Teams are non-existant except for ><> which absolutely sucks. |she| is just |electricGaming| revamped with finnie leading it but he goes afk about 5 times in a single war and wars against any team/clan that finnie is on takes about 30-45 minutes which is WAY too long for a war. In the past it was way too long, and now it is too. The new school players have been making the game worse, so why bother trying to make the game better? Why waste my time when I have so many other obligations? Why don't you waste YOUR time? Oh wait, you don't want to bother you just want to beg.

 

To be honest, I'll finish that PHP platform for a thousand dollars USD. That is totally worth it. I'll even sell my copy of 2k3_RPM_Server.dll for half the price offered to Max. But nobody here would ever pay that up, to be honest, because it's retarded to spend so much money on a decade+ old game.

 

I'm not saying you want respect, but you do weep about not being respected so i said if you want to chance it do it.
