I want to know who would be interested in playing a sof2 demo tournament if I would donate 100$ to whoever won that months tournament. Maybe we could expand this to weekly tournaments worth 50-100$ a piece or something similar with more donations from other players. I imagine that older players would become more active if it was worth their time. Comment if interested in this idea.

Each month. Depending on how much interest we have this could end up being 2 (50$) tournaments a month or 1( 100$)tournament. Right now I'm just trying to see how many people are interested, but I have the $ if we have the players to earn it.

My hope is that after some time of me being the only donator we could get more people to donate to increase the size of the pot. Maybe even having a few 500$ tournaments a year. For example If 10 clans put 50$ combined into a pot as entry fee (only 10$ per person for a clan of 5) we could do a 500$ big tourney at the end of the year. But for now I could do 100$ a month if I had enough players to make it worth my $.

Haven't checked demobase in months, Foxdie told me about this, If demo fills up with good players I'll consider playing again, it wouldn't even be for a prizepool. I'll watch and see what happens.
Everytime I check demobase I only see google and bing logged in, this place is deserted.. I have little faith 100$ would save it lol.. I think its a complete waste of money, but we'll see.

So next year skoko is 1200$ richer? Just saying, there's flaws to this. I'm not going to donate if I already know beforehand I have no chance winning the money in 5v5 tournaments. I think its a great idea for DM, 1v1, 2v2 tournys. And what about hackers? Fairplay lost its credibility by now. Shifteh must be willing to put in time.
Just saying think it trhu, when money is involved, all be it a little amount it can either increase fun or ruin it completely.
