lol he called it. I'm waiting for this topic to reach at least 8 or 9 pages of stupid euros talking shit to each other and asking for RPM before I decide whether or not the idea will work.
Honest question here, what makes you guys think that the players of sof2 that still actively participate (TEAJ, mTs, vL, she, etc.) would possibly be able to play their matches within one week or one month. Have you noticed the last cup that offers a game server as a first prize award amongst other prizes has taken roughly 3-4 months to complete with a roster of 8 total clans? My guess is the answer is "money". I do not really think money will cause these people to stop being afraid to cupwar, I actually think it'll cause clans to be MORE afraid to cupwar due to the stakes, hence it'll take WAAAAAAAAY longer than 1 week or 1 month for these "cups" to actually be played.
What do you plan on doing to combat this obstacle? Do you plan on making an interactive web site that displays statistics and data and functionality to allow players and clans to at least be displayed in terms of their progress? Would the cups be single elim, double elim, groups?
If these tournaments are 100 dollars for 1 month, that seems like pretty good incentive, that's 20 dollars a month per player of a clan, as long as they can lie about fairplay not working and that their demo doesn't record. But realistically, I think the tournaments are going to be maybe 100 dollars for 4 months. In my opinion, 5 dollars per month per player of a clan is not worth it. I'd rather work one hour at a fast food joint and make double that amount.
But then again, nobody will probably read this. Too much text for an illiterate demographic.

Its not about winning lifesavings here but making things more interesting forgy, okay I understand an Arabian paki thinks 100usd every month is much but geez, even if its 100usd every four months, wich is a good idea btw, gj. You can save a little here deskie. But atleast its better then nothign
So great work of making absolutely no sense there captain.. Rest of your shithole post I agree with though
I don't understand your "shithole post" much though, so please clarify for me. When did I say anything about 100 dollars being anything like "lifesavings here"? It's okay Mani, you can't make sense without putting bullshit in other people's mouths. Didn't we have this discussion in that other 9 page topic about the future of sof2? 100 dollars is nothing to me, maybe when I was in high school it was, so the money isn't a deal. I understand how it could be a lot for some of the polacks out here though.
But the point I was trying to make was that I doubt this idea will make sof any more active than it already is. So, in my opinion, deskie, if you want to waste your own money for the purpose of potentially making sof2 more active, go for it. But I will definitely not be donating at all, because I think it's a terrible investment and will not facilitate the increase in activity around here at all. I'd rather invest the same amount of money at a fucking blackjack table in Atlantic City or some shit, and yes, the point is that is a BAD INVESTMENT.
Anyways, whatevs. I'll participate because it's easy money. The players left in this game suck to the point where they either gave up or continue to play like idiots because there are old schoolers who play a war once every 2 months (maybe) and still rush, rape, and escape. The hackers are easy to spot.
EDIT: But then again, I've always been open to participate in any cup hosted and played on sof2. With or without incentives like prizes or money. If you're asking if throwing 100 dollars at a prize pot will make more people sign up, I doubt it. We'll still probably get a maximum of 8 clans. But you can go for it and see what happens. In my opinion, the most likely thing for a successful outcome to happen would be for the polacks to split into 2-3 clans instead of all stay in the same one, since they obviously have desperate need for the money.

2 Cups a year, price pool 600 each.
And forgy got a point here, money should't be the motivation. But maybe it will increase the activity ("polacks") and that will motivate others?

Haha c4/she skilled clans will def only win this, so the noob clans won't profit. What you guys think about that?
My 2 cents.
that's how it is for basically every competitive game

I'd argue that this is one of the reasons sof2 actually died. c4/she/whatevers were on top for god knows how many fucking years. it is up to you to catch up with them not surrender for 5 years because "they simply are better."
no lesser skilled clan ever put an effort into improving themselves as individuals and as a clan, if you are not willing to do that, you deserve to lose 24/7 to c4

this
i mean c4 as a clan hasnt played since god knows when lol..
you guys coming here, saying we'd just bash this cup down, just proves how little the vast majority of sof2 has improved over the last 2 (probably even more) years.
instead of looking for alternative methods to get some fancy prize, its probably a better idea to actually get good at the game

but steven that takes work and most people run from anything that is difficult. They rationalize why they can't do something and that the people who are capable are only able to because they are losers and live worse lives than them.

On the contrare, mani, I implied that I'd rather work in a fast food joint than prospectively play only to potentially win 5 dollars a month. What I'd rather do is based on economic gains.
When I said I've always been open to participate in cups in sof2, with or without incentive, that's a true fact. I will always be open to tournaments and competition, I just do not think that Deskie's incentive will do what he plans it will do, which is to "increase sof2 activity". But go ahead and put more words in my mouth, all the trolls on this site learned from me anyway, so it doesn't phase me. I just enjoy putting you in your place.
As for the rest of the comments, LOL @ Agga and the other dumb fucks posting their two cents at how they never were able to improve at sof2. The fact of the matter is the people int he clans you mentioned don't even play sof2, they mostly play CS:GO, League of Legends, Dota2, and other competitive games because they love the spirit of competition, something that disappeared from sof2 when all the noob clans couldn't focus enough to simply improve upon team play and tactics.
The average soldier of fortune 2 player is a raging and mentally challenged European. This fact made it so competition could not flourish passed the point when the majority of good players who would improve and listen to team play became a minority. The shift created a majority of bad players who were either too young to listen or too stupid to learn.
Boy, do I miss the days when it was USA vs. Europe (3v. vs. c4). Competition was vivid around this place until the time when all the "dominant clans" you speak of went to other games. How does that make ANY sense? Wouldn't a competitive game with competitive people become more competitive when the best clans disperse (YES THIS QUESTION IS RHETORICAL).
It really should have, but the fact is that the players who were left are either not competitive or pretend to be competitive but really have no interest in improving their method of gameplay or teamwork. In other words, AGGA, the people you are referring to are gamers, and people like you who were "never able to improve" are not.
EDIT: And honestly... Now that I mentioned that, what was the reason why the top clans and players in those clans decided to disperse to other competition based games, but still stick around here? It's because the COMPETITION GOT BORING. What makes it different now? It's MORE boring now, because the rest of Sof2 failed to improve.

I enjoy you to, forgy. Its just,.. I cant stand the temptation fucking with you. no-homo
Sorry no time tonight for the lovely discussions my job totally wrecked me today.
Btw, quit false flagging the noobs saying they need to practice more. Youre either pro at every game you play or youre not.

why did sof2 players fail to improve though? no matter competitive game I played, people always put an effort to improve themselves.
sof2 is odi getting shot and calling cheats because because the idea of enemy using proper movement/environment/.. is so alien it didnt even pop in his head he might just be doing something wrong. same shit goes to all the noobs in sof2 now. the game might have died because top clans/players stopped playing but the reason these people stopped playing is you simply bored the fuck out of them. if you get raped 10 rounds in a row by the same strat its you failing to adapt and nothing else

Basically said what I had said in terms that the noobs can understand. I appreciate it, sten lol.
And mani, I love you too. Hope working the streets wasn't too hard on your ass today
. JK RELAX haha. Also I disagree with you're either pro at all games or not. I've known asians who are godly at microing in Starcraft, but have terrible hand-eye coordination when it comes to FPS games.

lol i dont think you are either born pro or gtfo
you can always improve on something in ur game.
I currently play csgo and every time I get fucked in the ass im running through in my head what just happened, why did I end up dead and come up with a plan to adjust&rape in the next round and I notice improvements in certain aspects of my game in just few days, that is assuming if I know what I fucked up with before. no person is born with some unimaginable talent, sure you will be predisposed to do certain things better than others but in the end you still got to learn.
