It's about the psychological effect it creates. If you participate weekly, you can win much more than 1 euro, and that's what it's about: that people see a reason to keep playing this game. For many other games you only have a chance to pay rather than having a shot at winning any money.

you pay butcher to stop playing with sparta. simple as that.
Or, if asked nicely, I might be willing to look into a script that monitors network traffic in and out of the server, which can easily pinpoint DoS attacks and logically ban the offender prior to the server's bandwidth being overloaded. This would be considered a server-sided module that must be uploaded to Sof2 servers. Want to ask me nicely, Steven?
EDIT: Similar to this: https://github.com/v...uan/DosDetector
I figure a simpler batch or php script would do the trick. I'm not too familiar with Sof servers, if they run on linux machines then it'd be even easier to find a script to do this (perl). If they're running on windows machines, then it's a bit more of a bitch.

if someone wants to hack then there is no anti cheat in the world that can stop them
Everything can be bypassed, especially fairplay that has only shifty as a developer..
The only thing it temporarely stops is if there are hacks already floating around which many players have access to
But atleast we can watch demos and we have experienced players who can judge pretty good if someone is hacking or not
