I speak for shifty, and first of all, RPM 2k3 isn't coming back unless someone rebuilds it from full's version, which nobody wants to do because it's shite anyway

Next thing you should know is that fairplay can be easily updated in a matter of a few minutes. But this requires a few things.
1.) It requires people who have fairplay hacks or know where to find them to send them to either me or shifty for us to patch fairplay to deny these applications/external files from running in memory.
2.) This needs to consistently happen, because hacks will consistently keep appearing from full, 1fx, mpc, and other forums. These new hacks must also be sent and patched. This is a constant on-going battle. There is no such thing as a non-hackable game. What do you think Valve Anti-Cheat (VAC) does? It simply updates a repository of known hacks and hack locations and blacklists them and all users who've interacted with them. This is why VAC had this whole ordeal about looking at people's browser history. It's because they actually check that shit to see if you've visited websites that have been flagged as selling or offering hacking applications.

I dunno why he talks to us. Maybe it's because he is in agreement with me that the majority of you guys who keep asking the same question and not providing us with any results (like the two things I listed in plain English) about this so called "WE WANT ACTIVITY" mentality that you just displayed so brilliantly for us.
And yeah, he already does spend a couple of minutes for his thoughts on these topics, and they are in complete agreement with me as well. You guys will go on and on and make topic after topic to bring RPM back, or to fix fairplay, or to get rid of ddosers, and every suggestion I made in these threads he agrees with as the right path of moving forward.
You want it spelled out in plain english AGAIN? Here it goes:
To get rid of Sparta "DDoS" (even though it's not even close to DDoS, it's just packet flooding a public IP, it's not direct because the scale is very small), most of you will have to change your public IP addresses. It's a known fact that the majority of you not-so-internet-savvy Demobase Europeans mostly use static IP addresses. The offenders used to use fairplay_check to get your public IP address, or if you were ever in a server with one of them having rcon (like Butcher), then you probably were recorded through rcon. In any case, these script kiddies have a list of your static IP addresses to pick and choose from whenever they feel happy. They had to keep a list because Shifty removed fairplay_check's displaying of public IP addresses a few months ago.
To update fairplay, the community would have to band together to provide the developers (mainly Shifty and Myself) with known hacks, applications, or whatever tampers with either fairplay or sof2. By doing this, we can directly block these hacks while fairplay is active. The problem with fairplay right now is that it just hasn't been kept up to date with the latest hacks.
But now you're just contradicting yourself in your last two posts, boasting how the community NEEDS fairplay fixed, and now apparently "Fp isn't really a big problem we can use demos. We need activity"
Okay... To gain more activity, you need to stop being a community of a bunch of retards who constantly diss each other and stay in the same clans/teams since 2007 and start acting mature and like you actually enjoy playing competitive team games.

Whoever I bullied away deserved it, and I'm glad they're weakness is gone. People who take the internet way too seriously don't belong on the internet, if you ask me.
How am I a hypocrite though? My sof2 game was always based on what others taught me, and I kept my crews active. In fact, I believe I did more than a lot of people here have ever done in sof2. I played and learned from every clan I was in. I joined one team, aMeX, and grew in rank to the point where I played a few cup wars pre-finals and impressed XILLAX a few times to the point where I was trusted enough by the leadership to recruit and lead wars.
I attempted to create more activity with the introduction of statistics in Facing Worlds, as well as working with the others on creating more tournaments. I've consistently worked with shifty in improving both Demobase and Fairplay from a tech standpoint, and I am still, to this day, working with him and others on some other projects related to sof you've probably never even heard of.
My clans? Well, after c4 I did hop around a lot, but I consistently stuck with a group of people that wanted to play to win so we could make this place a better competitive scene. 3v competed to win, as did R-C. Our main goals were to beat c4, and yeah we did good sometimes and bad sometimes and in the end, I'm sure I get a lot of blame for the "driving away of demobase competition" simply because of my revival of this forum with my demeanor and attitude.
Just because I'm well spoken doesn't mean I intentionally try to piss people here off. It just happens, because they're fucking stupid!

Sof2 has always been a retarded community, apart from gold. All the pros (sof2 rolemodels) have always acted retarded on the highest imaginable scale to. Not really a miracle the sof2 kids grew up to become downies. Just saying forgy, you're absolutely right but don't be a hypocrit. The way you have acted past years with all your team mates and affiliates together with other clans are the ones to blame for what you state here is the problem for lack in activity. My point is take the blame yourself, instead of the few players that are left who are just sheep who follow you and others examples. Take Nautica for example

Hows the downfall of sof anyones fault on here? It's a game, people grow up and new people don't get the spark we had playing SOF2 because they can't look past the graphics thus our community dies out.
From all SOF2 community's, we've done best.. Gold already died out around 2005-2006. Demo lasted till 2012 with cups and clanwars daily, agreed.. vs same teams and clans.. but it was good enough.
Demo did goddamn well, for being a demo. Lasted for over 10 years.. can't see how you connect the downfall of demo to certain people or clans or whatever lol.
The few times I read these forums nowadays I have to read walls of bullshit, do something constructive to get good players playing again but stop pointing fingers at eachother. I started this game as a youngster, around 12 years old, I'm 23 by now.. most people were actually older than I was at the time I played. Those guys died because of bad driving or they grew up had kids and stopped gaming.
