It's good because it is obvious that butcher and some others just want to fuck up people by asking their demos every single war. He doesn't even look most of demos, considering I know someone who sent butcher demo of another war and butcher said nothing...

Without people asking for records all the time, people soon stop recording. Butcher is actually the only one keeping the rules YOU make alive. It takes 1min to upload a record, people just shouldnt bitch around and if they do, happy mbl.

This change of rules was completly useless. And looked like another hand given by the admins to one of their precious e-net friends packed in some "change of rules"

We were already fine without butcher...

Think you should add a rule that you must tell in the war that you are requesting demos from specific players, because else they wouldn't check demobase.

Also in clanbase you can ask only three records, which should be enough to caught the cheater in demo too.

Obviously this system is badly abused and gets many clean players banned, which is why i don't get why you give a year lasting register of unsent demo. Not even talking about how useless is to send demos, since quite few player has ever even been caught by demo.

Requesting all 5 records shouldn't be possible indeed.
That's more irritating than seeing some guy requesting one record after every game (atleast for me).
Most people vanish within secs after final kill has been made haapis so pretty hard to ask then.

What if a player asks a demo of some1, and he forgets to upload his own demo (uploading only ip ss).
After 4 days (for example) he suddenly uploads his demo - how much time left for the requested guy to upload the demo? 3 days (since the requester asked the demo) ? or full 7 days (since the requester uploaded his demo) ?

I don't see why. If the guy decides he doesn't want to send it the first 4 days, because there wasn't another demo from the Person requestion PIQ's demo, doesn't mean he should get some extra time. HE KNOWS ITS HIM, if it's him in the first place, with or without ss.

It's lame of him not to post his record because there's no ipss/record posted, but it's his right to do so, since without these info there's no official request.

People were always made to record on gold in tournys, i had a bad upload speed back then and had to leave pc on all night lol, but it will stop hackers.


If people record in a tourny do they still need to use fp?


id use fp anyways myself but i think its a good question.

Yes, you need to record all mixwars, wars, and cupwars even if you are on fp. FP is very safe program, but it was bypassed few times in the past. That's why it's required of players here to record both regular games and cupwars. If you collect 3unsents during a year you get banned from cups for 6months. Rule was made in the past, when a lot of players supposedly cheated but never sent their records. Recording random wars seems over the top probably, but it's small community and everyone knows this rule.

Theres alot of scripts out there but those commands work just as well for recording a demo

Yeah i would only record if it was say a tourny war or something.

Yeah idk im bored played demo again yesterday for the first time in like 9 years lol, dont remember it being so different its good fun for 52mb download though.

may go play it now for a bit, and i was amazed there were Australian servers lol, i get 30 ping sad i have never got that on v1, only aussie servers were on every other version mainly gold =] ..dam its so dead now though.
