Due to random bluescreening and not working ATi Overdrive in 10.8/10.9 i went back to Catalyst 10.5a Hotfix drivers (Need the HD4*** series BF BC2 fix it has in the hotfix) and I found out that it isn't supported by FP!

Could ya do the efford of fixing this? It's quite a old driver tbh but it's one of the few which doesn't give me problems.

Whenever I start sof with fp after my PC was turned off, then it always errors out in like, 2 minutes saying com_maxfps must be between blablaa.
Thing is, my CFG has it on 125, my autoexec has it on 125, i've even tried typing it in console in the main menu again, and then just connect, but it always crashes.

When I start it for the second time, so after it crashed just start fp again, it works perfectly.
And it doesn't re-occur untill I restart my PC.

Then it crashes the first time again with this wierd error.

What could be causing this? And how can I possibly fix it, i've allready re-dled fp and reinstalled sof ofc. but that didn't help.

Some extra info: Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit updated.

ASUS M4A79T Deluxe U3S6 - Athlon II x3 435 @ 3.51Ghz, 4GB Geil 1600Mhz DDR3 RAM and two old crappy IDE harddrives.

It's on desktop ofc, registry entries are missing because it's a copy-paste folder from my external HDD, but when I install it correctly it has the same problems.

Since i'm running splinter cell conviction on a HD4670 i use the catalyst 10.4a hotfix drivers because they give me +- 15 fps more.

Could ya be so kind & add the 10.4a drivers too? I know the 10.4 work, but not the 10.4a hotfix.

I couldn't rly find a explanation or fix for this in here or the FAQ (Unless I overlooked it)
But my own FP works fine and I tried to get it to work for a buddy of mine, however whatever I try it always gets this An error has occured.
Open error.txt blabla. Only the issue is, there IS no error.txt to open lol. We've tried waiting cause it's been like a week since he DLéd it and i dunno if that even causes the problem (the activation - thought that was invalid module error) so...

Anyone got a solution to a error.txt message in which there's not actually a error.txt?

3 Days ago I installed Windows 7 Ultimate 32Bit & installed sof right away.

I started with FP, saw I had a new GUID (Guess this is normal), and it loaded fine.
Now I loaded a server, and it crashes at the end of laoding or at the beginning like is normal.

It's been doing that for 3 days now while I got windows updates turned off cause it's not a ''clean'' version & I don't wanna risk my activation with a update so I haven't updated it ever since.

put it on desktop, fiddled around with compatibility, admin rights & such, nothing makes any changes lol.

It does work on my laptop with XP (On my old GUID wierdly enough).

Any advice? Or am I just being too quick and is it simply not activated yet. (I managed to play 4 minutes according to the GUID check lol)
