Ban them at the forum and post their ip to ban them at the servers. So we don't get annoyed by them on the forum and in-game ( ofcourse they can change their IP but it's better than nothing ).
Now look the poll, I think the decision is clear isn't it Cheaters = OUT.

nope, "cheaters" shouldn't be banned from here, i agree with the reasons dena, yank and the others gave. and no, their acc's shouldn't be deleted so that they can re-register the next day.

i think its mainly hard to set up strict rules for such momentous decisions like bans. therefore i tried to figure out some democratic system which might be more suitable for everyone than the possibilities lumi gave so far.

my suggestion: introduce somekind of poll or vote by means of which we then decide if members who violated too much rules should be banned or not.
it certainly won't be easy to keep these polls clear from some lame guys voting for what sounds most funny but if we could ban players like mdog through this...

every member with a certain amount of posts should be allowed to set up such a vote/poll.

as you see there'd be much to talk about but still i think it could develop into sth fitting for the majority of users in here.

well surely bans don't have to be momentous for you or me but for other guys caring more about this game/forum they might be.

further i didn't even mention the term spammer and you certainly know that i haven't meant spammers but mature, experienced and stable DB members...but you're right, spammers are in this group aswell.
what i actually wanted to say is that not every noob registered yesterday should be allowed to co-decide today whether long-time members get banned or not.
still you're right, maybe this is sth to think about.

The ban won't stop them cheating unless they are VERY DESPERATE for demobase. Oh and theres few other communities, for example notag or sof2.eu(where it seems cheating is a positive thing btw).
Windaxx stopped cheating after he got banned? No.
What happened? He used his mates accounts to still view forums and/or post.
Everyone can come back even if they get banned - welcome to the fucking world of internet.

and whats the goddanmed point of banning people that dont send demos? fuck they care if their banned on forums where majority of ppl spam, they actually are happy they cant view these forums anymore, and it wont stop them from playing sof. it isnt like gold where ur guid gets banned and u need to get cd key(which is actually easy too but its another story)....we got 3 diffrent communties with their own rules own people and the bans on the forums arent connected any way to fuckin game, except for "OH I SAW U BANNED AT DEMOBASE FOR CHEATING - NO WAR"
the cheater will just rename and no problem.

Why ban them for not violating forum rules ? is it a rule in this forum that you cannot cheat in a game ? We just list them , and it's for you to decide what to do with it imo. Want to play them with FP ? Don't want to play them ? Fine, just take care of it yourself.

i say just ban from major servers if there caught cheating, ppl will not let them in htere clans anymore if there busted, they wont be able to play agaist these ppl at db anymore, they will be disrespected by most, there sof life wil suck, but tehres no point in banning them from demobase, cuz like rocket said they will still cheat in game, and even if they do change there name, well thats it, they cant use there real name no more, and there goes there rep anyway
