We may not know alot about religion, or a book, but we know enough about it to understand that its just a story.
At this moment I'm not sure about religious people and what they believe in: I think alot of christians don't actualy BELIEVE the science in the bible, and I think the bible is not supposed to be some science book. Then my question would be WHY would you believe in other things the bible says and why would you follow the rules of a book filled with fiction.
I think they do believe in science in Bible, but they don't take it literally, like
they don't question statement that God made Earth in few days, they just don't believe it was really a few days but rather some sort of metaphor.
Well at least that's what how I reasoned. Now I'm not a very religous person.
thanks I guess Marco

Its not a science book, its not backed up by facts. Tho I guess your right people probably just believe in certain points, tho when some man (christian) in the netherlands said the same thing you just said he became subject in a christian discussion, people being mad he didn't believe certain things. And what happends when you read things in the bible that have been proven wrong, such as the earth being flat? You just suddenly change what you believe in a little bit?

The question of 'how' is a method of answering the 'why'. The understanding of the 'how' might lead to understanding of the 'why'. Typically, all scientific 'how' questions that i've read during my study where always triggered by a filosophical 'why'there's a post on this very page were I quoted some of other sources, since you asked
idd I forgot questions "why?" not "how?" universe was created
is what puzzles guys like Hawking :S
no he says most of us know shit about religion and he is right,
you sound like typical nonbeliever with inferiority complex lol.

Quote please. And i gotta explain you something, the fact you can't explain something from scientific way, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. 1000 years ago like 90% things we know today would be magic or just "impossible".Its not a science book, its not backed up by facts. Tho I guess your right people probably just believe in certain points, tho when some man (christian) in the netherlands said the same thing you just said he became subject in a christian discussion, people being mad he didn't believe certain things. Yeah and I've seen people getting healed. I know personally person who was healed from 4th stage cancer in a blink of an eye. And of course for person like you it will be simple bullshit and you can't be blamed. You can't explain that from scientific way, at least today, but i saw what i saw.

Cute, but theres no 'how', just a 'why'. But that's probably beyond your intelligenceok so HOW are you still a virgin assrail ;s cause then we know WHY
Yeah, that's excactly the proof, or evidence there is a god: Because theres something that's unlikely and you can not explain. Total evidence.
The fact that theres things they couldn't explain back in the days, that's the sole reason people made up 'gods'. To find explanations for the 'unexplainable'. Nowadays we think and research. There is no need for religion, but crowd control
I love this:

This is just an opinion, I wouldn't be talking for other people. And people who proved to themselves that God exist don't have to bother trying to prove it to anyone else. So you can whine as long as you like, but it still won't change anything. And also I don't get (i do) why people bother saying that there is no God and trying hard?Cute, but theres no 'how', just a 'why'. But that's probably beyond your intelligence

Theres people who say theres no God
Theres people who say theres a God
Of course me saying that won't change your opinion: You're religious. You're not open to thoughts, since you're clinging to your beliefs so much, even if it's just so wrong.
And what part excactly is just an opinion ?

I know it's just a name, but you probably based alot of your faith on a book, which is being used by many religions ( in different forms, not entirely equal, but similar enough ).
Faith also, is kinda defined as believing in a thing or person, that's not backed up by logical thought or evidence. It's a clever way to say you're just fooling yourself to believe in something that isn't there
