Sure we played hard, but the point is Spain also deserved 2 red cards and several yellows, but they were simply not given.
Spain handled the exact same game-plan as the Netherlands, and they both executed it rather well. (meaning they would eliminate key players and make it a shitty game)

I'm sorry. Puyol, Iniesta could've (should've) had a red card also. De jong should've had a red-card. Heitinga's 2nd foul was a dive.
We had 2 big chances from robben, 1 or 2 out of a corner kick, chances were quite even.



A win isn't 'deserved' if the only goal comes out of a mistake by a referee mate

We lost vs the best team of the last ?20? years.
Im not even mad and that suprised me because i can be mad about the smallest things in soccer.
We played a solid tourny. Too bad the ref didnt hand out red cards to spain and nl.
And its a shame the goal wasnt cancelled, because of offside.
Furthermore, this ref didnt see hands in the champions league final.
We almost won on THE italian way.
Ps: most belgiums are fustrated because they weren't even there. And we know how it deels (2002). Just anti netherlands

Its about what teams are capable of. Spain were always one of the best ones. NL obviously tried harder. The fact that holland got into the finals and stood literally till the end shows who are the real fighters. Imo spain is one hell of a booring team. Also never had any huge sympathy to NL, but this year i just loved them. Will hope for them to win in next WC.

Imo Spain is one of the most fun teams to watch. All the dribbling and fast-paced passes which are like their business card- enjoyable. Overall the match was played better by Spain, they had more goal chances, more possesion and some luck (Robben fucking up).

Holland fought for it, but if anyone deserved it, it would've been Spain, Iniesta and Puyol "SHOULD HAVE" gotten those red cards, perhaps, but those were never given for the horror tackles of Van Bommel and De Jong either. What Iniesta did there was a normal reaction after being kicked on the floor 100 times without ur opponent getting punished for it at all and Puyol is just a loser, can't make up an excuse for him.. he's the weak link in the team of Spain, how easily could Robben outrun him everytime..

Howard Webb was a horrible referee, I agree with that, but Holland should be happy because with any other Referee, both De Jong and Van Bommel would've been off field in the first 30 minutes, that karate move of De Jong was fucking horrific to watch.. disgusting

I have a question, when i watched the game iniesta was playing with black shirt and nl was playing with orange.
Why did spain suddenly change their dress to orange after winning the game? can somebody explain?
