After 2k3 decided not to share their mod with any other Server Company, many people have actually tried to get past their mod security but failed hard. So today one of my best friends had actually took a look at it and it took him 20 minutes to bypass it. Now he has got the 2k3 mod, but apparently he isn't going to release it at the moment so don't ask for it, we had a good laugh at this.

2k3 is selling an unreleased mod published under the GPL rights.

i get what u mean tho they arent selling the mod now are they because if they were u would all have a copy of it because ud be able to download it from ur servers ftp which u cant so infact its not selling a mod but rather selling a server

RPM was released under the GPL where they based their Mod on. You can't commercially use a source code based on the GPL, Which they are doing, without releasing their modifications anyway (Source code). So if 2k3 tries to fuck us we'll fuck them back even harder.

no1 forces u to use 2k3 do they no i didnt think so
and well if the creator of RPM comes and complains then its a different story if not then they do as they want and any action u take isnt legal
if u created the mod sure u could do what u did or just ask for the mod itself from max

pretty sure hackin in like that is wrong tho
It's not hacking in since you can download the .qvm from your own game server's FTP. Also not even a single change was made to the 2k3 files.

Just to clearify so people stop bitching we aren't going to release it, we just wanted to proove how easy it is to bypass it, which is a plus for max anyway to re-do his security.

well that's just dumb, you should release it, it would mean ALOT better servers for sof since there'd be alot more competition with a good mod.

That's true on 1 side since 2k3 is offering a good mod but shit servers and thats the only reason they get customers because of the mod.

saying this why didnt everyone else just go edit RPM mod?
instead of always wanting 2k3's RPM they could of done it on their own and neva had this trouble

well 2k3 is the far best server company how much u haters ever want, just becuase max is a dick and an arrogant fuck doesnt mean his servers are bad
well if u realse it it will be good becuase then more companies can offer the good mod which will bring concurrens (spelling) to the server buisness which will hopefully lowering the price for servers
