To clarify, I'll re-iterate. I said that this community's growth never ceases to amaze me. It's a sarcastic statement that explains that this community is so hell bent on not using their common sense or logic and instead just say, "Rules are rules. Ban". I think that the rules have many many shortcomings, especially as it pertains to this. In a court of law, we use judges who judge based on the law and common sense. I understand that the law is the law and breaking the law is punishable, but these laws that we have are so stupid and we don't have any judgement based on logic. We all know shifty, we trust him. He pays for Demobase, coded fairplay. If he wanted to hack, he would hack using fairplay without any of us knowing, most likely. But shifty isn't like that. Now just because he forgot to take his mod out since fairplay wasn't working (assuming that the mod would not work with fairplay on) that means we should ban him for hacks? I think shifty has proven already enough to us his intentions, and this is really just the community being childish, immature, and flat out senseless.

Hence my wording when I said this community hasn't grown. We wrote these rules 5-6 years ago.

Talking about courts and laws and shit, don't know if you get it but that will make ppl like abu get 1 week ban and ppl they don't like raul 1 month for the same thing, because its not only the fucking comminty dind't change alot of ''admins'' ppl here either.

Well, since a lot of people are giving their view on it, I sure wanna take the opportunity to give mine:

First of all, I'm surprised shifty hasn't said anything to defend himself. Phuck damnit, there are way too much questions to be quiet, shifty.

Second of all, I don't think anyone has the right to question shifty's integrity, be it personally or SOFFally (ingame). And I sure apologize for my fellow demobase´rs attitude towards you, shifty. Cause I know you should have been given more respect for the things you have done for this community for such a long time. At least talk with some respect to this guy demobase´rs.

But on the other side: I also wanna express how weird I think it is to play with a MOD on without realizing it's on. Personally, if I would be playing with a MOD, I might have forget the first couple of minutes. But after a couple of minutes, I would´ve said “WTF I’m playing with a MOD, LOL. Since it isn’t fair: let’s restart this game yo”. BUT here’s another flipside of the coin: if you’re just playing with a MOD who ONLY has a different AK-skin, I think we should trust you on this and let this case go. Getting banned because of – ONLY – a different AK-skin is totally unjust, utterly stupid and a completely ridiculous rule.

Again, I would love to read what shifty thinks of this situation. So please shifty, do your thing man...

we don't try to fuck him over, there are rules you have to attend when participating a cup. what that person has done for the community has nothing to with this. Mods are prohibited, end of story. What's there to tell? We don't try to make things up so he could ff his first cup match. We are stating facts here.

I think we should delve deeper into this rule. I support the rule 'ban those who use a MOD', but ONLY if person x uses a MOD which causes an advantage for himself. A small MOD like an AK-skin isn't giving person x an advantage at all, therefore it is quite useless and senseless to ban that person.

Shifty doesn't even play CUPWARS so for what you want to bann him? Like abu said, this is his first cupwar (I guess)
