When you have 5 knives and you throw one at the ground right where you are standing then you pick it up immediately. But it says you have 4 knives left then.. Maybe you could fix it

It doesn't just say that you have 4 knives, one knife actually disappears. I'll look into it, thanks for reporting.

You also can kill your teammate with knive when u duck lean and knive very quick( he does the same) Fix that also .

I've never heard of that, please provide a demo with an instance where this happens.

happens when you dident "reload" the knife in ur hand. so if u trow a knife and swap to ak right away and pick the knife up again it will disappear aswell.

suggestion for Demos.exe

if you delete a demo from the list, could it also delete the demo folder? else they're just laying there and it gets confusing having all these folders around that is connected with deleted demos...

It does delete the demo folder already. If you notice any problems with that, and the demo folder isn't deleted, please let me know.

well, i have 6 folders and only 2 demos recorded by me, maybe i didn't delete them via Demos.exe lol

ive been using the demo future for a while now and it looks kinda good only a few points i want to point out.

- When I want to watch a specific time (action) and i passed it i cant move the demo backwards so i can return to the missed part.
- When im watching a demo and i move my mouse a bit to the left or right, the view of the player is not straight so i have to click 3 (left mouse) times before it moves to the normal position again.

So would it be possible to play demos backwards also? like -50, -100, -219 etc, and lock the mouse when im moving with my cursor to the left and right?

1. Unfortunately, I can't make a demo play backwards. However, the new playback features (which aren't released yet) allow you to go to a percentage of the demo by using a slider (e.g. go to 80% of the demo length). There also a feature which allows you to enter the time in minutes where you want to go to (e.g. go to the 20th minute of the demo). Both the percentage jump and the minute jump are saved and shown in a listbox. That way, your favorite demo moments are saved and you can easily access them again. To go backwards, after you missed a moment, you can either use the percentage jump or the minute jump.
2. The mouse locking is certainly a nice feature when spectating a 3rd person player. I'll add this as an option to the playback menu. I'll make it so that your mouse is automatically locked by default when spectating a player in 3rd person. Thanks for the suggestion, added to the list.

I've PM'ed you the download link for the test version, which has all the new playback features. See opening post for all implemented features.

lol ye, so many times ive just touched the mouse a little bit and i noticed i fucked up the normal view pos good suggestion, was going to suggest the same

The mod doesn't have anything to do with that message, it's dependent on executable you use. It just shows RECORDING if you use the correct SoF2MP.exe executable. If you load FP, the correct executable is automatically loaded. So, simply load FP once, it will get you the correct SoF2MP.exe file, which you can continue to use even without FP.

I've implemented all suggestions made for the client side. Most are playback updates, please refer to opening post for all implemented updates.

There's now an auto-updater in Demos.exe, which will prompt you to update both RPM and/or itself upon start if there's a new version. To anyone willing to try the new RPM version: you can simply download the new Demos.exe, which will prompt the RPM update when you start the program:

Also note, I've decided to call the final version RPM 2.0, since well, it's the second release. That's why this version has crossed the 0.79 border. If you have any suggestions for the latest version 0.83, please post here.

Fixed. Run Demos.exe, it will update to 0.84.

Added a few updates to the client side mod, latest version is 0.85 now. See opening post for download link.

I also added all server suggestions, so I'll update all 2k3 servers soon. After that I'll release the client side mod.
