but law and psychological disorders are different from eachother, and gets handled differently (in court and irl). Thats why you have different institutions. The crazy patient only gets TBS if there are no other possibilitys left for him. They suffer from diceaces yet to be discovered or have to many of them he just is fucked in this lifetime basicly, science aint there yt.

So ye useless to bring that up

its just as useless as u bringing up law irl since if db would actually base themselves on how the law is used in rl then butcher would be lifetime banned already since irl not everything is written down litterly but it has to be adjusted to the case. that's also why there's a judge and a jury.
edit: and mani if we would to it for this situation then, butcher would be banned for hacking since its written down that hackin/cheating of any kind isnt allowed. therefor sv_CHEATS is considered a hack which is disallowed according to the rules

If you actually got a psychological disorder, the chance is high you get less punished since it's not 'fully' your fault.
Butcher actually had several warnings and has no disease at all (maybe not proven by us, but from his gameplay seeing he is not handicapped and his brother is mature as well).
Else it was different to me, but Butcher is aware from his actions.
He is just testing how far he can go.

This kinda reminds me of when for example swimming is forbidden in a pool at night, and when you are caught while you are in the pool you'll say:
"I was not swimming, I was just sitting in it."

How do you think this process will go? The cops is like "Ok whatever, you'll come with us!"

No, it would mean it was okay to swim at night. They made a new rule it wasnt anymore and they didnt hang on a sign.
"No swimming allowed after 22.00"

this doesn't necessarily mean butcher will keep his parole though, since his actions abused trust people gave him,

lumi, that's my point exatcly, god save us if we had to put down every single cmd that can be used to cheat or gain advantage. "it was not written in the rules" wait till there's a new cheat for sof, then u can hack ur ass off cause that cheat wasn't on the "list". by the time we notice that, u'll just stop using it and it's all ok.
