max can you make the time freeze while pausing? i mean if the TL after few rounds is 8:05 for example and someone asks for pause, so once the pause is on the pausetime will be shown in a new clock or smth and then when u resume it'll remain 8:05?


That's a nice suggestion, I'll add it.

what did you decide about the maxpackets? if you arent gonna higher the limit at least force it to default

when is some new version gonna be released? with the new crosshair you were making and the grow thingy fixed?

I can't raise cl_maxPackets in the mod, though this can be achieved by hex editing SoF2MP.exe so it can be added to FP.

As for the crosshair grow removal: have you contacted Xillax about this yet? I'm not sure if he permits it.

about pause time it's already working at few servers including s4a germany.
time gets as expended as long was pause done.

c'mon max, release some beta with the grow removal lol. its been fixed in gold so i got no idea why xillax would see this as a bad thing

Updates for client:
  • Hitsound removed
  • Since the crosshairs are inaccurate (they are not perfectly centered), I've introduced a new crosshair which is always drawn in the center of your screen. Select it in the menu (5th crosshair, dot) or type cg_drawCrosshair 5. The size of this crosshair is not adjustable, it is always 4 pixels. Crosshairgrow for this crosshair is disabled.
  • Smileys updated, new smileys added. For the full smileys list, use the "smileys" command.
  • Team overlay added, use the menu (hit Teammate locations) or cg_drawTeam. If you use RPM HUD it's shown on the right and will show up to 9 players; otherwise it's shown on the left and will show up to 5 players.
  • Demos.exe program added for easy demo fixing, deletion, zipping. Please let me know what you think.

Updates for server:
  • Recording is automatically started when competition mode is enabled. Players who just joined a team will start recording within 5 seconds after they join.
  • Recording is automatically stopped at the end of each map. A screenshot of the scoreboard is taken automatically!
  • In compmode, killing spree messages are not shown, killing spree sounds are not played, "<player> joined the spectators" message is not shown.
  • In mp_kam2, lower will now be closed at 3vs4.
  • Noroof for mp_italy added, automatically close whole map in mp_italy if less than 4vs4.
  • Team lock commands added. !l a (or adm lock all) locks both teams + specs; !l t (or adm lock teams) locks both teams.
  • The banlist now shows the name of the admin who banned, along with the ban reason

So the recording should be fully functional now. Autorecord only works in servers with the latest server RPM (version 1.99), which I've just finished as well. Autorecord only works for clients who have the latest client RPM (version 0.786). If you want me to update your server, please let me know.

nice, but why is the grow removal works for only drawch 5 :D anyway its pretty good too bad the new cross sizes cant be changed so ill have to use some diff resolution :)

At first, the crosshair size was adjustable, but I figured it wasn't necessary. 2x2 pixels should be enough for most resolutions. If you use cg_drawCrosshair 5, is it too small for you? I can easily make it adjustable again for you, just let me know.

Also DevaZ, if you know any server owners, please inform them. I'll gladly update their server so you can try out the auto recording feature.

in r_mode 8/9, yes. in r_mode 4 the size is what i want so if you could somehow gimme that exact size/look in r_mode 8/9 that would be terrific, or you could make like 3-4 positiblies so its not fully adjustable but still is like for example when you got in the rpm for the normal cross and you dont wanna do it thru console you can choose small/med/big/very big etc, so if the one from r_mode 4 cud fit in these would be pretty cool ^_^

Thanks for your reponse. I've uploaded the new version to skul's server and emailed him about the change. Please make sure that many players download the new mod, so that they can experience the auto-record on his server.

You're right that the crosshair is bolder than the standard crosshair. The standard crosshair is partially transparant: the new crosshair only has bright pixels (4 of them). I'll make sure that you can adjust the crosshair size in the next mod version.

Can you make it so when you turn RPM Hud off that it actually stays off after you restart sof2? When you have it as off & then restart sof, it shows no weapon info etc and healthbar at the bottom. So it's not RPM hud or normal Sof2 hud, it's just strange then I need to turn it on & back off to get normal sof2 hud.

Also, "io" makes a smiley so I can't call people idiots :(! Any chance to make it a different shortcut thing?

As for the HUD problem, I am unable to reproduce it. If I turn off the RPM HUD via the menu and then restart SoF, it'll stay off and everything is drawn as per usual. Do others have this problem as well?

Good catch on the "io" smiley, I'll change it.

I think RPM checks the cg_rpmHud before it loads the RPM config, so if you don't have cg_rpmHud in your /MP/sof2mp.cfg then it shows like that screenshot. I tested by putting seta cg_rpmHud "0" inside my /MP/sof2mp.cfg and then the hud showed properly when I joined servers.

I still think teammates location should show yourself as well, maybe it can help you know your exact hp also instead of using the bind, but it just looks incomplete somehow to me, its like the location piece at scoreboard missing for yourself.

btw are there other options than beacon and names? i've never seen the team icon in xillax's screenshot

I'm still unable to reproduce the HUD bug, though I think I know why it occurs. I'll include a possible fix in the next version.

Three smileys aren't working properly: :| |O 8-|. This is in fact the most awesome bug ever, it happens because SoF2 converts files in pk3 archives to lower case (in this case gfx/smilies). If you don't put the mod files inside a pk3, the smileys are working properly. I'll fix this bug.

I don't see a reason to show your own location or health. Your health is shown in your HUD. Your own location is not important.

These are the options for teammates: beacon, name&health, name&bars. You can select this in the menu at Teammate recognition. If you want you can also show the bars only by using the name&bars option plus cg_drawFriendScale 0.

Autorecording will only stop at the end of each round, when the map ends and the scoreboard is shown. If you turn off competition mode manually before that time, indeed recording won't stop. I'm not sure if that's necessary anyway, since this shouldn't happen all too often. Autorecording will start each round after you !mr (if you are already recording, no action is taken).

Xillax: can you find out when the HUD bug occurs exactly? I'm still unable to reproduce it, I've tried lots of things. I do know that if the RPM HUD is enabled initially and you type cg_rpmHud 0, the screenshot situation occurs.
