- Show radar and Show lagometer, are they necessary RPM Settings if they already exist in the default Options menu?
- What's the point with Show radar self other than it just turns your blip on radar on/off? I can understand why there are blips for my team mates on the radar, but for myself? lol
- Progress jump is ineffective, it says "Jump not available", why's that?
- Suggestion; make the Name/Health text above heads move smoother, it's kind of annoying how choppy it looks when people are running and moving around
- Question, why was virii able to record in 1fx with a previous version and I wasn't with the latest? I got the "[Error] Server does not support recording" msg in console"
- Bug found, Name height in Settings menu displays wrong value for each option, e.g. if you set Name height on Very low it's actually on Very high and opposite

havent try new rpm but my guess would be that max made new command that works only in RPM servers and you tried that, but viri used g_synch 1/record/g_synch 0 combo?Yea I got a few remarks.

Max when some unnamedplayer connects to a server then sometimes me and people around me suddenly make rare moves and shoot somewhere without pressing any key.. Mostly people think the connecting player is hacking then. U know what i mean?
Thanks to bing bang blaow I know why it happens now, so I'll fix this, added to the list.
Even making it optional would be awesome.
I'll completely disable the join messages, we'll see how that turns out. I think it'll be fine. Thanks for the suggestion, I've added it to the list.
only thing annoying about 'xxx joined spectators/blue/red' is that 0.5 sec lag u have for moment, probably cause of logging(noticed it disappear once i deleted logs/diabled it..maybe coincidence) or something..
I assume you mean the lag that occurs when somebody connects. Alot of stuff happens at that point (admin file, banlist, aliases, ...). I'll try to find out which functions take the most time to improve performance. In H&S, some models aren't precached, so they will have to be loaded when someone connects. This will also cause extra (client side) lag.

1. They aren't necessary, but I thought it'd be nice to have the most important draw settings in the same menu. Therefore there are duplicate settings.
2. Indeed, it just shows/hides your own arrow. If teammates are close to you, your own arrow overlaps theirs. That's why it's useful to hide your own arrow (this was suggested in the previous RPM thread).
3. The progress jump only works for demo's for which the demo length is known. If you stop a demo with "Stop recording", a screenshot & thumbnail are generated, the server info is saved, the player stats are saved and the demo info is saved (so the demo length is known). If you don't stop the demo properly, this info cannot be saved, and the demo length is not known. So, the progress jump only works if the demo was stopped properly. At the end of each map, the server will make sure that you automatically stop recording when the scoreboard is shown. If you disconnect or quit the game while recording, nothing can be saved, so you can't use progress jump for that demo.

no, when someone joins a team it freezes for second(both demo and full)..happened to me always, am i the only one? had it happen on different pcs also so that shouldn't be the issue....clearing logs helps with it tho, same shit when u have tons of screenshots already and take another one it freezes(atleast first one) for momentI assume you mean the lag that occurs when somebody connects. 1. The settings themselves aren't important and they could be removed to clean up the cluttered menu (settings that aren't needed).
2. Even a stupid one would know the difference between his own position on the radar and a team mate's, but ok it's just a minor thing...

I dont have any freezing. Tho im not playing with medieval pc and cant comment what is your system that you are playing with. The stutter and lag when someone connects happens when a person who connects has a . The autorecord is not optional. You can make the text go away by hex editing your SoF2MP.exe (search for "RECORDING %s: %ik", and change the space to a null byte). Alternatively, you can use FP like you should anyway, since the SoF2MP.exe used by FP is also edited, and only shows "RECORDING".

I've also never noticed any freezing when someone joins a team. I'll fix the stutter and lag that occurs when someone connects with a dot in his name.

Well you could simply load FP, and it will get you the correct SoF2MP.exe. If you want to do it yourself, then get a hex editor (free one is HxD), open the default SoF2MP.exe, search for "RECORDING %s: %ik". You'll see that the space between RECORDING and %s is 20 in hex, change that to 00, save the file and voila!

yo max i know your intention was that we'll check the demos thru the menu ingame but i still think the file itself should have a name thats possible to use thru console as well stright without renaming
You can play demos by using the in-game demo menu, or play it by using Demos.exe. Also, I'll add a Demos menu to the main menu. Though this menu won't be visible if you just start SoF2, unless you use a command line with fs_game RPM (which doesn't work with FP). It will be visible after you disconnected from a RPM server though.
Renaming demos is not recommended, since this way the extra files can't be located anymore (extra files = screenshots, player info, demo length). So you lose all this extra info linked to the demo. Additionally, if you rename a demo, the extra files will be lurking around in your RPM folder.
If you want to share demos with other players, instead of renaming the file, simply open Demos.exe and zip the demo. A demo.zip file will be created in your RPM folder. This way, the extra files will also be included in the zip archive.
If you want to delete a demo, you should also use the Demos menu, since this will also delete the extra files.

Thanks! Since more people complained about the killing spree sounds, I'll add an option to turn them off. I've added it to the suggestions list. Again, they are already automatically turned off in competition mode.
by info i meant who i killed/got killed just the normal stuff lol
