Yeah, I think FP forces cg_thirdPerson to 0 all the time. I'll check it out.

BTW, what about the other features, sound and smileys? Do they work?

ye i get same error as taurine on windows xp after sof launches, fp related shit works fine just none of demo tool things

No. That requires a server update. This version is merely client side. For the same reason, teammate locations are not available.

Other people had the same problem, the SoF2 injector times out, I'll look into it.

i got windows 7 and i get the error "could not start fairplay"

make sure its fairplay.exe, had same thing at first(had fairplay2.exe)

k i got it to work but then it closed sof and fairplay said invalid pk3

Made with RPM for demo, Radical asked me to make this clip a while ago so now I heavily edited the clip for him ;S


If we talk about bugs, I have a few;


- x5 sniperscope text
- when Radical was sniping and I was floating in freecam he was invisible,
- when Radical stopped scoping his gun showed throught the wall as a wallhack
- Sound is 'off', switches between left and right earphones at randomly.. or is almost muted
- In freecam you go invisible at random times (probably due to fp forcing thirdperson off?) gun stays visible

Fixed the "Couldn't resume thread" error, so this should work on all Windows versions. Also updated a few other minor things. Download:

Features haven't changed:
- All aforementioned playback features
- Chat smileys, type \smileys for the list
- Chat sounds (e.g. @88), type \sounds for the list
- Names are drawn instead of beacons. Use 2k3_friendAlpha and 2k3_friendSize to adjust. Use 2k3_drawFriend to disable.

ps. i noticed it says "Writing demo/MP/2k3_demo.pk3", is this the correct path or should it be placed into demo folder instead?

this one loads successfully but fp gives me an "invalid pk3 file has been found" error which is probably because the 2k3_Demo.pk3 isnt allowed by fp yet right?

Apparently the DLL can't be injected into FP. It allows the pk3 automatically. So let's see if other people have this problem as well. I can get you a version without FP, which should work.

Since most of us are using this without fp (movie purposes), could you perhaps release a version that does not require fairplay? I believe it would solve a lot of problems.


It's looking good so far though, had a lot of fun with this already!
