Geloven doe je met het hart en niet met het woord. Iemand die gelooft met het woord, maar niet met het hart kan moeilijk worden aangemerkt als een moslim. De Islam is geen hypocriete godsdienst. In de Qu-ran staat hierover:

“He knows what is in the heavens and on earth; and He knows what you conceal and what you reveal: and Allah knows well the secrets of all hearts.” (Surat at-Taghabun, 64:4)

Hamdoullilah!

I am happy for you but you are raised by and dont know anything else so it feels right for you. People are created by the surrounding.

Most religions have great guiding lines to life by but all of them have to many stuff in it whats impossible.

You can not judge something, you do not know enough about.

Because 7 dutchies converted to the islam last year it must be "the" religion?

Catholic missionaries converted millions of africans in the last 200-300 year, not saying its a good thing but if it wouldent have happened they would probably all got converted by islamist missionaries, and that would scare me much more. Perfect example about what highnesz is trying to bring across. They got tricked into converting to christianity by giving them education and food. They dont know any better then what the hand that was feeding them told em.

I only tell my religion to others. If they accept or not, its up to them. You can not believe because you have to. It has to come out of the heart. That is what i am trying to tell.

If i had the idea, that you guys know the Islam i would not try to explain it here. Just let me tell my religion and fulfill my duty. Converting is your own choice. In the Islam we do not know any commitments to believe. You believe or you do believe not. The decision is only and totally of yours.

I know the media decide how we think, but partly it is also our own fault not to do any research further. We think by this way, just like the media controllers want us to think. And the only people who we can blame for this, are ourself. The Islam like the big media centers are exposing is not the peacefull Islam we know and believe in. It is a misconception, and i will tell you why.

In the Islam, we are forced to respect other religions and people . I found on the internet a story with evidence from the Qu-ran, which i would like you to read and then re-check your conclusion.

Islam, like Judaism and Christianity, believes in prophets and messengers of God- One interesting way of understanding the Islamic view on freedom of religion is to look at the role of the prophets and messengers.

Had they been sent to forcefully bring the people into their teachings? Were Moses, Jesus and Muhammad ordered by the Almighty to impose their teachings upon the people by sword? Absolutely not! Look at the Qur'an, the holy scripture of Islam; the revealed words of God where He clearly outlines the duty of his messengers by saying:

“(And as for My messenger,) there is no (obligation) on him except to deliver (the. message). God knows what yon expose and what conceal”. (5:99).

Once the people of Mecca said to Prophet Muhammad that if god did not want them to worship idols then why He does not forcefully prevent them from doing so. Then God sent the following message:

“(O Muhammad) This is not a new excuse; those who weft before, them made, the same excuses. Is there anything upon the messengers except the dear conveying of the message”. (16: 35).

So we see that from the Qur'anic point of view, the mission of the prophets and messengers of God was not to forcefully impose their teachings on the people but to guide them and ask them to accept God with their own will, in one revelation, God says to Prophet Muhammad:

"But if the people turn away (then do not be sad because) We did ma sent you to be a guardian over them. It is for you only to deliver the message." (42:43).

The Qur’an clearly says that religion cannot be forced on anyone. It says,

"There is no compulsion in (accepting) the religion (of Islam)…”

Why? Because:

"truly the right way has become clearly distinct from error. " (2:256).

The Islam is not what the muslims do. The Islam is what the muslims should do. People do sin. That is why we are being tested. You can blame me, my follow believers but you can not blame my religion

And surely, Allah knows the best. Peace be upon you.

in my personal opinion, people like patrick are a pain in the world's ass by trying to spread their religion in some sense of "duty" when in reality they should just let all people live and believe what they want to believe.

He's a thorn in our side and IMO he should be stoned to death

Its in your heart because you are raised to have it in your heart. You dont know anything else and you say its your duty to tell about your religion. The same goes for your surrounding when you was young they needed to do their duty and used you for it. Not saying its like that but the chance is very big.

But we cant discus this topic with you since you are not open for change and you need to be open for it to start a discussion.

You do not need to discuss with me Highnezz, just because there is nothing to discuss about. Whether you believe or not, its up to you. I just try to give you guys more accurate information about the Islam. Really can not see the point why you guys are attacking me as person. Didnt i tell, the Islam does not know any commitment from point of believe?

I already told about:
The importance of hygiene in the Islam - >The woedoe (the 5 times a day washing before praying)
The way to behave against parents -> Be kind and never come against their word, even if they get old.
The way to behave against other religions and people -> Respect their religion and give them all the space to believe their religion
The 5 pilars of the Islam

One of the 5 pilars of the Islam is like i said the Zakat.

Zakat is the compulsory giving of a set proportion of one's wealth to charity. It is regarded as a type of worship and of self-purification. Zakat is the third Pillar of Islam.

Zakat does not refer to charitable gifts given out of kindness or generosity, but to the systematic giving of 2.5% of one's wealth each year to benefit the poor.

The benefits of Zakat, apart from helping the poor, are as follows:

-Obeying God
-Helping a person acknowledge that everything comes from God on loan and that we do not really own anything ourselves
And since we cannot take anything with us when we die we need not cling to it
-Acknowledging that whether we are rich or poor is God's choice
So we should help those he has chosen to make poor
-Learning self-discipline
-Freeing oneself from the love of possessions and greed
-Freeing oneself from the love of money
-Freeing oneself from love of oneself
-Behaving honestly

The 2.5% rate only applies to cash, gold and silver, and commercial items. There are other rates for farm and mining produce, and for animals.

So from the interpretation of the story above we can say that Zakat is given to the poor on regularly basis. This, so the rich stay in connection with the poor people and help the poor people.

And surely, Allah knows best. Peace be upon you all.

everyone knows how most religions and their rituals work(and how they are not followed by the so called believers themselves huehue). share something more interesting. why did you become a muslim? when? was it the influence of ur parents/peers? why is your religion 'better' than other religions when they all essentially follow the same guidelines one way or another

-Acknowledging that whether we are rich or poor is God's choice
So we should help those he has chosen to make poor

if god is so great and decided to make people poor, why are you going against his intentions and help poor people? u wot mate? that sounds like giving a nice middle finger to your god saying I DONT AGREE WITH UR DECISION BIATCH

edit: actually i have pretty good idea what ur gonna say. let me guess, he made them poor to teach the rich to respect them or something along these lines?

The way to behave against parents -> Be kind and never come against their word, even if they get old.

so if your dad was a psycho and told you to kill urself or well just do anything that goes against muslim beliefs, you must do it?

We believe this life is a test. The rich are tested, even as the poor. The wealth of this world is only wealth for you till you die. When you die, you bring your good and bad deeds and 5 meter of winding sheet in the hereafter. Hope, i did answer your question.

peace be upon you.

answer my last question. if your parents tell you to commit a crime, what happens?

Since your question is very suggestive and provocative, i want to tell a different story about the relationship with the parents in the Islam.

Some people whom have converted to Islam and which the parents does not know about because the person who converted is afraid it will hurt/shock them need to hide his believe. For example, when he is praying and he hear that his parents came home he got the right to stop the prayer. Stopping a prayer is usually a big sin if you do not have a legit reason. So this shows how important the Islam stands against the feelings of the parents.

We should respect our parents at any time, even if they are non muslim and you are a muslim.

Hope i could give you an image of the kindness we are needed to show to the parents in the Islam.

(Watch the video of this priest who convert to Islam:
He explains also the importance of the relationship with the parents ... highly recommended.)

Peace be upon you.

im not gonna even read past the first line, just give me a straight answer

since you have to respect fully whatever your parents say, and if they tell you to do something that goes against muslim beliefs, WHAT HAPPENS? what do you do? do you ignore them and thus ignoring the 'rule' to follow ur parents suggestions or do you commit the crime and doing another sin that way. just answer what happens and dont give me some bullcrap.

Since, you insist in getting an answer.

The only time you can refuse a command from your parents and disobey them is when they ask you to sin.
If something is haram, which means its forbidden in the Islam, you are allowed to disobey your parents. Let me insist, this is the only time you are allowed to disobey your parents. It is more important, to please Allah then to please your parents.

In the Qu-ran it says:

'If one of them or both of them to attain old age with thee, say not ‘Fie’ unto them nor repulse them, but speak unto them a gracious word.'

And surely, Allah knows best. Peace be upon you.

I noticed you avoided the part I tell you everything is forced on you by the surrounding also your religion. Its far from a free choice.
Free choice would mean you would discover the book yourself and did it all on your own. For example your dick probably got cut before you could think. You saw your surrounding praying and going to a mosk before you could think yourself.

so in matter of a discussion you should now be able to agree to this. Nothing wrong about it.

Probably because the book says its not allowed to force it on others you wont agree on it but thats ok it only shows you stopped thinking outside the book and that you are a good follower.
