For me it seems that you have broke a violation; Gamehack violations. Two black starsfor you. Thats bad Lumi. Seems like you will be banned from your own 2on2 cup. At least if we followed your rules, but we surely wont because you dont have to follow the rules, since you own them.

Yeah I was busted on gold but like Xillax said I was banned also one season so guess you're wrong. Furthermore why do you have always critic if you don't try anything yourself? That's selfish in my eyes.

I appreciate the posts of the serious guys, we didn't apply this yet, it was only a proposion, but if the most agree I guess we can apply it. About the stars it's not counting untill you have 100 rofl, it's just the category, if the ban is over you have 0 stars again.

Now all you need is proper cheat section runners, who will actually watch and bother to ANALYZE all the demos posted. Without that kind of people, all your stars count for nothing.

I personally think this star system wont change anything. Makes more rules, but problem is, has and will always be, that we cant bust anyone. Each busting attempt will become childish flamewar.

ps. You can mark few stars for me. haven't recorded in 2 years despite of the cups. Also have sent few wallhacks for |she| members for demo watching. Also i have joked with Yank that i used AB/wh/yankobot. I have also crashed our |she| warserver few times in the past because it needed update (shame that some people were in it). Also i have refused to send demos in MSN, and have forced them to come to IRC to get the demos (which they have never done so far). Does that count 3/4 stars yet?

Means, that if you got caught twice for using gamehack, you will be banned for next 2 db cup seasons? And start playing on third one like nothing happened? Doesn't make sense for me. Imo, if you got caught for aimbotwallhack, you should be banned forever, maybe im wrong.

Well if the system will be applied and you admit that then it would be not fair to not give you stars, as moderator you must judge everybody the same. But it's not that detailed with the demos, if nobody conflicts the situation (example: Make topic on DB: 'Dena record'), then it doesn't matter if you refuse a demo via MSN (won't reach into a star).

To Sam, I must still edit some rules, if you made Gamehack violations in a cupwar it will result into more stars then if the violation was made in a clanwar. But banning someone forever after his first time doesn't seems fair, I think everybody deserves a second chance. But I will specific the rules later, this was like more a proposion.

So i can go and start hacking on war and after being caught, start saying: "ok, where is my second chance". Now people won't be scared to hack or try to hack or however u want to call it, they will just know that there is no problem, they will get second chance. lol and i don't belive that many people do care about being banned from cup. For example i don't. Well anyway it is just my opinion, still it's good you started this kind of stuff, i hope it will work Gl.

Some don't care indeed, but we make a list also with the cheaters. I just talked to Warren and he said it's a good idea, so he can check the Blacklist and update the bans in Dads superserver. Also clans will ignore players who have cheated even if they are banned for 1 DB cup season.

You'd be suprised how many clans depend on their cheaters and don't want them to be kicked or discovered making their clan vunerable and weaker.

So they just allow them to cheat making them "own".

I have banned cheaters from all my servers and clans immediatly and have never accepted people that cheat or cheated on a near past.

But not everyone is like us.

mostly clans in this community get rid of the cheater asap if busted, few exceptions but that's about it.

I say first bust ban from 3 cups,
we can't force people NOT to play busted ppl at "normal" wars, so it's up to them, but atleast keep them away from this community
second bust - perm. ban from cups&demobase&anything related.

mods part -
if first time caught, warn the person about it, no bans or such, tell him why he should stop using mods and why is it considered as cheating, etc.
cause most of people don't even know using mods=cheating..
same about lightmap but not sure.
second time ban from 1 cup, he has been warned but it isnt such a big violation still
third time perm.ban tbfh, 2 warnings enuff :}

as for 3rdperson@PUBLIC, if admin allows it in his server do it, if not and you do it, nothing still happens to you at demobase(and its cups) but you risk getting banned from server(s)..also warn the person that if he gets caught using 3rd at a clanwar(cup,normal) he risks getting banned.a
as for 3rd in a WAR..if it's a new player should warn him first, as he might not be familiar with the "rules", or insta-ban when busted during cup(as using 3rdperson is not allowed is always stated in rules), as for older players banbanban as they most likely knew it before and knew with what they were risking.

These rules luminaire is implementing are a good thing!
This will finally give people a reason not to cheat since most people here are here for the demobase cups, and if all cups unite under 1 black/grey list then the cheaters are fucked.

The only rules which are bad are the
- Crashing Servers rule (since it's nothing to do with cheaters)
- Mod rules (since you can't force people to use one mod and not another, thats not fair on mod makers or clients)
