From my experience only people who have never actually been in love call it biology. It involves chemicals, is biology.
Neuroscience to be more precise, which involves a lot of biochemistry, yes.
Not trying to diss anyone but that's just what i've seen. People who actually have no experience or very little experience in relationships keep saying it's biology yo, yet that opinion almost always changes (unless you turn out to be one of those "forever alone" guys, then you'll keep saying "It's biology damnit!" forever probably).
Nor is it something that can be explained in a philosophical theory really...
Trying to execute emotions with scientific methods is gay anyway in my opinion so ya.

GOD- it's invented by smart men over the decades to control large amout on people.
end of story, BAM!
nope believing in higher beings is a part of human nature
thing you talk about is religion
Anyway till 16th century or so, priests/shamans/etc constituted 99% of literate people and
came up with majority of inventions propelling our kind from stone age to early modern era so
after all religion is what helped early societies to organize. Now religion is that understanding
is obsolete but without it organized societies would have much harder time setting up. Just
think of the fact from all the world wonders only the Alexandrias lighthouse didn't serve religious purpose.

why do people make these topics? is it so you can learn something from eachother? probably.. which is a good thing!
But all topics in demobase are based on pushing your own opinion towards other people. You dont want to share anything, you just state youre own lil thought and you can't accept when someone thinks else.
how sad is this, how the fuck do you want to prove that god excists or not?
oh dear there are bibles and other papers that says it does, while they could be foney, just a way to trick people and make them follow their way.
Maybe there really was a god and 80% of the bible is true.
these things are based on what YOU believe and you alone. you cant force someone to believe the exact same thing as you. thats mutual respect towards one and another.
You can share your opinion like; i believe cuz of this this that and so.. but you cant tell some to be wrong while there is nothing you can get your facts from.
when someone shares his opinion you can only ask questions like these;
oh, i see. That sounds interesting, where did you get that thought from?
what makes you think that?
and if he answers, accept that and get over it..

this should pretty much make my point,
EVERY SINGLE DISCUSSION INTHE WORLD IS A CIRCLE.
you start from one place and you keep going to same way all the time.
pretty much everything besides math isn't 100% real all the time, so eventually everybody is right in their own way or in their thoughts.
but yea, people wouldnt talk to eachother if they knew that it was like this, so basicly my post is pointless.
Have a nice chat bout nonsense

1. This is demobasewhen someone shares his opinion you can only ask questions like these;
oh, i see. That sounds interesting, where did you get that thought from?
what makes you think that?
and if he answers, accept that and get over it..
2. Have you ever even seen responses like that on demobase ?
3. This is demobase
4. Religious ignorants that believe, only have 1 decent argument: you cant prove that god doesnt exist.
OK, then theres as much indication to believe that butcher fucks 30 different hot chicks every night. You cannot prove that he doesn't.
As soon as blindly-religious people like that enter in a debate, that's when it all goes downhill, and retards try to interact with people who are actually trying to exchange well founded thoughts, hence my simple 2-worded statement: Fuck off.

it might be a generalisation but at least its founded on evidence, logic and research. There is a negative correlation between religious beliefs and intelligence. Just that on its own is already infinitely, endlessly more valid than believing in god(s).In fact it was you guys who made huge generalizations and used words like slaves/retards/etc...
But you have a point, if the discussion doesnt have religion or science as one of its subjects, then ignorant religious people might share some cultural bible-based morality arguments.
lol'd at rait's post, just about sums up my viewpoints.
What subject do you propose asrael ?

Well then I guess the Koreans can go around calling people retards since they are the more intelligent than other nations.
Anyway even if you suggest that people with lower intelligence scores are more likely drown to religion how is it that
a proof these people are wrong? You can be right making decision from wrong reasons. Plus a person can be narrowminded, ignorant and not-cultured and very intelligent... you know there are some other areas of intellect like knowledge, mind discipline or just common sense that make someone valuable intellectually.

Ernest Hemmingway:
All thinking men are atheists.
Annie Dillard
Eskimo: "If I did not know about God and sin, would I go to hell?" Priest: "No, not if you did not know." Eskimo: "Then why did you tell me?"
Arthur C. Clarke

Stephen Weinberg
"Without religion, we'd have good people doing good things, and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion."
Nietzsche
"In Christianity neither morality nor religion come into contact with reality at any point."
"The Christian resolution to find the world ugly and bad has made the world ugly and bad."
"There is not enough love and kindness in the world to give any of it away to imaginary beings."
Carl Sagan

i really like all of them but some that stand out the most for me are Sagan's (the last one), Hemingway's (the first) and Nietzsche's third

1. Your English doesnt allow me to fully understand what you mean
2. I never said that they're wrong, in fact, i said that was their only argument: You cant prove theyre wrong. You cant prove that god doesnt exist.
Ignoring the rest of your post because you gotta be more clear to get your arguments along so that they cannot be interpreted wrong or subjectively.
Why is it you have to come up with 10 problems and critic where there aren't any to be found? All i said was, there is a correlation between lower intelligence and higher belief in religion. and also that those people tend to have pointless, time-wasting, irrational arguments in a debate that involves science or religion.
Didn't say there was a causal relation between religious beliefs and intelligence and I didnt say that God doesnt exist.
and why is it that you post 30 year old robot-based amateur movies viewed by no more than 100 people worldwide, in a topic where the aim is to guess the movie. jesus christ
