Something totally off the actually discussion but; is there a possibility to make a cmd which allows BOTH pistols and nades, instead of just nades aswell (so we'll instantly have goldsettings). Oh and was there a command in RPM for falldamage or is this only possible with rcon aswell?

You can define the weapon string that is used when you enable nades (its called nadeWeapons, similar to availableWeapons), this way you can enable pistols and nades at once. We used to have a falldamage command but it was removed because nobody used it. I've put it back just now, the command is "!fd".

Well max. Here is my final suggestion to you for now.

Recording has always been possible. But thanks to GodOrDevil the demo's are actually also playable (fixable) now.
With the new cups coming up, recording is/might become a must in full as it is in demo.

And therefore I wanted to ask if it's possible to make an auto-record feature when compmode is turned on. And if it's possible, can the white text that pops up in the middle/centre of your screen be moved to well maybe a smaller text and to a more appropriate place in the window. Maybe on the top of the screen, or in future cases maybe implemented in the scoreboard. I don't know just giving some suggestions ^^.

Of course there is also the demo-fixer issue, but this can be done manually for now I guess, since the cup is close to being launched.

The code for recording: "g_synchronousClients 1; record; g_synchronousClients 0;"
To stop recording: "stoprecord"

aam ye and that demo thing. would be nice if you can speed it up and slow it down, play/pause/stop what ever to do with it. Like GoDorDevil made for his rpm pack. would be useful also but i dno if everybody up for it.

That's already in the 1fx. Client (thanks for sharing GodOrDevil), check out 1fx. Forums if you want to download a preview.

You can use 1fx. Client side by side with 2k3's Client (DLL instead of QVM).

max,

In the patched RPM you put on my server (which is a nice improvement for mapswars and demo rules, nonades/falldamage commands work) we found a minor bug.

The final scorelimit isn't being hit so there's no moment where RPM says the match is over, whereas in the first round it does hit the scorelimit and swaps you.

Now I also have a suggestion which would come in handy for the Goldmaps CTF style:

Xillax made a bind that loads all the settings for the Goldmaps cup (falldamage/friendlyfire/nades/cm/timelimit/goldenflag) but theres one problem with this. When the match is over cm will turn all the settings back to the original settings, which is good, but it doesnt reset the !gf command which makes the bind a bit incorrect as gf could still be off and will be turned on, when we actually want it to be turned off. Could you make the gf command reset after the match has ended aswell?

@ Recording features: these are client side features, whereas I'm currently working on the server side mod. For the client side mod the recording features are the main priority (including the automatic recording and playback features as you guys just mentioned). In fact, the recording features would be the main incentive to start working on the client side mod again. But please remember I only want to release a useful, well-tested mod (like 0.78, which is still widely used) so the development will take some time. The community played a large role in the success of RPM 0.78 so I appreciate your input alot. Together we can create a great successor of RPM 0.78, I'll open a new thread in this forum when I start the development. Surely your comments make me want to start updating the client side mod.

@ Mr. Postman: what does the dll do and how does it work? Which features does it include? Do you have the source code for it? I don't think it's wise if we both develop a client side mod, one of us is just wasting his time.

@ Bladhark: thanks for reporting that bug, I've updated your server, could you check if it's fixed now? Golden flag is not supposed to be turned off after you disable competition mode, the whole point is that the scorelimit, timelimit, respawn interval and golden flag settings during competition mode are saved. The next time you enable competition mode, these same settings are applied automatically so you don't have to set them every time. This way, you could play a match and if you'd like to rematch, the settings are still identical and not reset to default. Besides, golden flag is always enabled during normal gameplay, just during competition mode the comp_goldenFlag cvar is checked.

And also thank you for giving the actual command for the goldenflag cvar, we didn't know there was an actual command for it. with this my previous suggestion became invalid ;).

I think the !banlist should have the reason of the ban beside it.

Atm it's like this;

After this, if I do for example, !ban Source Wallhack, on the !banlist it will show;

This was already suggested. I don't think it's neccessary since the admin.log file contains it already. I may add it though, added to the "Maybe" list.
